Alpha Grim Sonic,[1] also known Grim Sonic Alpha or simply Grim Sonic, is a character that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. It is a robot built in the image of Sonic the Hedgehog, used by Nine to be his replacement for Sonic and to combat him and Shadow in The Grim.
Appearance[]
Alpha Grim Sonic generally resembles a modified version of Chaos Sonic, possessing a similar build, but with notable differences. Alpha Grim Sonic's wrists and shoulders are noticeably more pronounced, a vent is featured in its chest, and its ears are sharper and more dagger-like. Alpha Grim Sonic also features a completely different coloration compared to Chaos Sonic, featuring dark red and gold plating, with glowing red eyes and lights.[1]
History[]
TV series[]
Season 3[]
In Grim Tidings, Alpha Grim Sonic was created in The Grim by Nine using energy from the Paradox Prism, and was laser deployed by Nine to stop Sonic and Shadow. Alpha Grim Sonic silently obeyed, charging at the hedgehogs and attacking them repeatedly with its speed.
After a false defeat, Nine brought the rest of the Grimbots, who began to attack the hedgehogs, and at the same time distract Sonic and Shadow to give Alpha Grim Sonic time to activate again and get back into the fight.
Later in Home Sick Home, Grim Sonic is deployed in battle with the other Alphas, during which it is seen fighting with Shadow. Alpha Grim Sonic's final moments were during the climax of The Devil is in the Tails, when Shadow destroyed it at the top of the Citadel.

Powers and abilities[]
Alpha Grim Sonic sports most of the abilities of Chaos Sonic. As a robot built in the image of Sonic the Hedgehog, Alpha Grim Sonic can travel at high speeds. It also had enhanced strength and is skilled in hand-to-hand combat. Alpha Grim Sonic has a degree of durability, being able to easily withstand punches from Sonic and the attack from both of Sonic’s and Shadow’s Spin Dash attack at once.[1]
