History[]

Sonic Adventure 2[]

R-1/A Flying Dog is fought after playing Security Hall, where it traps Rouge the Bat on Prison Island.

Battle[]

Boss guide[]

The battle against Flying Dog takes place on a rectangular arena with a few cluster of Rings and Wooden Containers and two small fences on opposite sides along the arena's length.

Flying Dog will primarily use these attacks:

  • It will fly off the arena, then fly back while firing a machine gun. Its gun attack will also destroy any Wooden Containers in its path
  • It will hover still but will constantly target Rouge for a while before firing a laser blast at her. Once Flying Dog's remaining health in its Health Gauge is low enough, it will perform this twice in succession.

To defeat Flying Dog, Rouge must use either of the two fences around her by climbing up them, then jump off them, fly into the mech and hit its cockpit by using either the Screw Kick or by just gliding. Alternatively, Rouge can also jump on top of a Wooden Container, then jump off of it then glide into Flying Dog's cockpit. After hitting Flying Dog five times, it will be defeated.
