~ Luke Simpson[src] |
Luke Simpson is Grampa's big brother in a story Grampa tells at Christmastime to the rest of the family about life before TV.
History[]
Abe-Boy, as Grampa was called growing up, is sent by their mother Olidia to find their father Abe Sr. and bring him home. While looking Abe-Boy sees a very anachronistic vintage Porsche speedster as Grampa's story is suppose to be taking place during the Great Depression. Luke is driving and he, Tori-Mae and Jason Simpson are going to meet Brenda and Kelly-Sue at the Tar Pit (a reference to the Peach Pit). Abe-Boy cannot go with them because if he does not find their father there will be no Christmas on Simpsons Mountain. This causes Luke to say how much he feels Abe-Boy's pain and that he is "going to go home and get drunk and mope around and get out my gun and shoot out my stereo and then break up with my girlfriend and give myself a near-lethal dose of triple espresso Caffè Latte and mope around some more and then drive my vintage Porsche speedster off of a cliff." Tori-Mae ask if he would drop them off at the Tar Pit first. Luke snaps back to normal, agrees and drives off while Abe-Boy says to himself, "Man, I know we're in the middle of the Great Depression, but that guy is really depressing."
Trivia[]
- Luke Simpson is based on Luke Perry who was "bad boy" Dylan McKay on primetime teen drama Beverly Hills, 90210. Luke Simpson's "plans" of driving his vintage Porsche speedster off a cliff after breaking up with his girlfriend and near-lethal dose of heroin (not Caffè Latte) are taken from what Dylan McKay did in an episode of Beverly Hills, 90210.
