Season 29 is the 29th season of The Simpsons that premiered on October 1, 2017 with "The Serfsons" and ended on May 20, 2018 with "Flanders' Ladder".

This is the first season of The Simpsons since Season 8 to premiere in the month of October. It is also the second season to not air any episodes in February, after Season 25. This was because of the transmission of Super Bowl LII in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea, the 2018 Daytona 500 in Daytona Beach, Florida, and the 90th Academy Awards in Los Angeles, California.

On November 4, 2016, it was announced that The Simpsons had been renewed for Season 29 and Season 30.
