Production[]

"Power Rangers Dino Supercharge" was trademarked by Saban Brands in 2014 during the run of Power Rangers Super Megaforce.[1] The season was formally announced via press release on June 8, 2015, with the minor name alteration to "Power Rangers Dino Super Charge".

Plot[]

"Long ago, an alien named Keeper entrusted the greatest power in the universe to dinosaurs. Millions of years later, the Energems were found, and the evil Sledge fought ruthlessly to steal them, until the rangers finally defeated him. But, from the ashes a new threat arose... Only one team of heroes can stop him; Power Rangers Dino Super Charge!"
―Opening narration[src]

"Long ago, an alien named Keeper entrusted the greatest power in the universe to dinosaurs. Millions of years later, the Energems were found, but Sledge came up with a devious way to steal them. Now after many battles, he has the ultimate plan. Can our heroes and their new ally save the world? Power Rangers Dino Super Charge!"
―Final Opening narration[src]

"Long ago, the evil Sledge tried to steal the greatest power in the universe. But an alien named Keeper entrusted them to dinosaurs. Later, the Energems were found, a team of heroes use them to defeat Sledge and keep the world safe, they are Power Rangers Dino Super Charge!"
―Christmas Opening narration[src]

The Dino Charge Rangers disband after defeating Sledge, but their job isn't done just yet. One of Sledge's most dangerous criminals, Heckyl, and his "alter ego" Snide, are aiming to pick up where Sledge left off and harness the power of the Energems to rule the universe. With new weapons, new allies, new zords, and the new T-Rex Super Charge mode, the Rangers are ready to settle the score against one of their most dangerous enemies!

Notes[]

  • This is the first season starting with seven active Rangers in the team.
  • This is the first season to have ten Rangers.
  • This is also the first Season of Power Rangers to feature the first official Graphite and Aqua Rangers.
  • It was reported that the series will contain elements from the skipped sentai show Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters. This was not the case.[2]
  • Similar to how Power Rangers Super Samurai showcased the Mega Modes on official merchandise, this season showed the Rangers in their Dino Super Drive modes.
  • When a Ranger charges the Dino Super Drive Saber for the finishing attack, the Para Charger has the T-Rex icon on it. It remains as a constant error throughout the season.
    • The episodes uploaded on YouTube avoid this error by trimming the footage, hence omitting the part where the Dino Chargers are first shown and leaving only the part where they enter the Saber.
  • An adaptation of Deathryuger or Kyoryu Navy for Dino Charge was believed by fans to be in the works through the insertion of the #00 Dino Charger into the DX Dino Charge Morpher which resulted in a sound for a "Talon Ranger" However, Yoshi Sudarso later stated in an interview that "Talon" was actually the original production name for Zenowing (which was later changed due to unknown circumstances) and that Deathryuger was never being considered for Dino Charge at all.[3][4]
