Rampage Drive is a sub-boss found on the 14th floor of Thebel Block in Tartarus. It impedes the party's progress and must be beaten to proceed. It is immune to all status effects, excluding a neutral resistance to Panic.
Rampage Drive is notorious since it appears early in the game, at a stage where the only party members available are likely Junpei Iori and Yukari Takeba. Junpei has difficulty damaging the boss since it is immune to all Physical attacks and resists Fire, while Yukari will face trouble if it continues to cast Mazio to keep her knocked down. Buffs and debuffs will definitely be useful in squeezing extra damage onto the boss or reducing the chances of getting hit by its troublesome attacks.
The best strategy is to level up the PersonaPixie until it learns the ability Pulinpa. This will prevent the boss from using its most powerful attacks, including Mazio, until the effect wears off. By declawing the boss in this manner, it can be beaten much earlier in the game. Another strategy is to use the Cadenzafusion spell between Orpheus and Apsaras, since it raises the party's hit and evasion and recovers 50% of the party's HP. Using a Persona resistant to Electricity, such as Omoikane or Lilim, and can cast Zio will help too, as Electricity deals extra damage (but does not knock down). If a Magic Mirror is found beforehand, it can be used to reflect Mazio, which will land as many hits of Electricity damage as there are members in the party, taking a good chunk of its health.
Rampage Drive reappears later in the second and third section of Empyrean within the Abyss of Time as a regular enemy. It maintained the same elemental affinities as its sub-boss variant.
Rampage Drive may also appear as a Red Shadow as early as Path 1.
In Golden, it appears on Paths 5, 6, and 8. It now resists fire and ice and is immune to wind. It may attack with an amplified Agidyne or Maragidyne, a boosted Bufudyne, or Mudo.
Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth[]
Rampage Drive appears throughout several floors of the Clock Tower. It is weak to Wind and attacks with both single-target Physical and Electricity skills. When defeated, it may drop H Drive Piece, H Drive Wheel, and H Drive Gear. H Drive Piece is used to create the TD Full Body for Aigis. H Drive Wheel is used to create the Amakuni for the P3 hero and the Gigant Fall for Chie. H Drive Gear, only obtainable by killing Rampage Drive with Light, is required for the request "Bring Me Something Memorable," which rewards a Rudra Ring upon completion. H Drive Gear is also used to create the Stone Armor male armor.
