A group of Judgement Swords guard the way forward on the 171st floor of Tartarus. They are neutral to Panic but are immune to all other ailments. It later reappears as a normal enemy in the Harabah Block of Tartarus, between floors 202 to 213, and as a boss on the 10th floor of Antenora, accompanied by Brave Wheel and Ice Raven.
The Judgment Sword trio has a very simple strategy - buff their collective attack, debuff the party's collective defense, and then pummel with Maziodynes and Tempest Slashes. You will need Marakukaja to maintain the party's defenses and offset the Swords' efforts. Field Personas that are immune or resistant to Slash and/or Elec, and aim to have Ice attacks of your own.
Akihiko is a great debuffer, preferably if he's already learned Matarunda - he's also awakened to Caesar and is immune to Maziodynes at this point. Mitsuru and Yukari are great attackers for the fight since the Swords take increased Ice and Wind damage, but be mindful of Yukari's Elec weakness that is easily exploited. Should Mitsuru's Tentarafoo successfully inflict Panic on the group, you can fight without worry of an incoming Maziodyne.
A Judgement Sword again appears as a boss encounter in Antenora within the Abyss of Time, alongside an Ice Raven and Brave Wheel. It will stick to attacking with the occasional Marakunda to lower the party's defense. If any party members Null, Repel, or Drain Electricity attacks, Judgement Sword will use Elec Break to strip away that defense. If the other two Shadows are defeated first, it may also start using Mighty Swing to attack the party.
The Answer Boss is immune to all ailments, but it is not immune to Poison Damage. When defeated, Judgement Sword will drop the Thunder Element barter item.
In Golden, Judgment Sword appears in Worlds 2 and 3 of Magatsu Mandala. It is now weak to wind instead of fire. In battle, it may boost its defense with Marakukaja. It can increase its critical rate using Revolution, and attacks with a heavy multi-target physical skill. It may also drop Moonstone for trade at Shiroku Pub.
