Earnest Carothy appears in World 6 of Magatsu Mandala within the Midnight Channel. It likes to use Evil Smile to inflict the Fear ailment so it can use Ghastly Wail to instantly kill party members. Alternatively, it may use Foolish Whisper to prevent the party from using their Personas. If there are multiple Carothy and the party is guarding, they will use Megido to try and break party members' guard before using their status attacks. When defeated, it may drop Activated Felt. Selling ten Activated Felts at Daidara Metalworks will unlock the Blessed Hands accessory for sale.
In Golden, Earnest Calocy appears in Worlds 5 and 6 of Magatsu Mandala. In battle, it will attempt to inflict Fear on the party in order to use Ghastly Wail. It may debuff the party using Masukunda. It may also drop Moonstone for trade at Shiroku Pub.

Earnest Calocy appears in Stories 3 and 4 of the Evil Spirit Club. It can inflict Magic, Strength, and Agility Bind. When defeated, it may drop Calocy Piece and Calocy Glasses. Calocy Piece is used to create the Seiryu Claw for Teddie and the Power Dog-Suit for Koromaru. Calocy Glasses is used to create the Elegant Fleuret for Mitsuru and the Direct Guard accessory.
