Corpse, sometimes known as a cadaver by scientists, is an English word that means "dead body." They are used by medical students, physicians and other scientists to study anatomy, identify disease sites, determine causes of death, and provide tissue to repair a defect in a living human being. Students in medical school study and dissect corpses as a part of their education. Others who study corpses include archaeologists and artists.
In some fiction, corpses appear as the state that becomes a zombie.
"Origin: Worldwide. A mass of zombies that have fused together. All their minds are in a panic, and they can no longer tell one another apart."

Shin Megami Tensei: 20XX[]
The Corpse appears as the first boss of the game. It appears behind the Gaea Temple in Valhalla attacking Ain.
Shin Megami Tensei IV[]
Seven Corpses must be slain as part of the Challenge Quest, Corpse Disposal. According to the Ashura-kai member guarding the door to the parts of Shinjuku where Corpses can be found, they must be defeated all at once without quitting or leaving the area. It is implied that they were humans who ate Red Pills given to them by a Hunter.
Corpses can only be obtained through a fusion accident. Fusing a KO'd Tattooed Man and Inferno will yield high odds of a fusion accident occurring that will result in Corpses being summoned. Corpses will inherit the initial demons' skills from the fusion over the results of the original demon.
Corpses can teach Flynn the Binding Claw and Life Drain skills through its Demon Whisper, as well as any skills it inherited through its fusion. Corpses can evolve into Nebiros upon reaching level 39.
Shin Megami Tensei IV Apocalypse[]
As as in the previous game, Corpse can only be obtained through a fusion accident. It evolves to Nebiros at level 42.
