Barong, the most recurring Avatar demon
The Avatar race, known in Japan as Godly Beast (神獣, Shinjuu)? is a race of demons in the Megami Tensei series.
Overview[]
The Avatar race is a race belonging to the Beasts species and being either Light-Law or Light-Neutral. Avatars are composed of very powerful gods that have the form of beasts or animals. They are strong and fierce, and dedicated to rooting out and destroying evil. Unlike the Holy Beast race, Godly Beasts are usually the god's avatar in the bestial form rather than the subordinate animal associates with the god itself.

Avatars have the Switch Racial Skill, which switches the team's position with that of another friendly team up to 6 squares away. This is useful for pulling dying teams (and civilians) away from danger, while also helping the team cover extra ground.

Devil Survivor 2[]

Stronger Avatars have this skill changed to Warp Step, which has this range increased to 8 squares instead.
