Metall Cannon (メットール砲台 Mettōru Houdai) is an enemy from Mega Man 5 and Mega Man for Game Gear. It is a Met operating a cannon made from the modified base of a measuring device. The cannon fires large projectiles, and Mega Man can only damage it when the operating Met pops its face out. They appear in Napalm Man's stage in both Mega Man 5 and Mega Man for Game Gear. In Mega Man 5 they also appear in the second and third stages of Proto Man's Castle and in Wily Stage 1.

"Giant Met Cannon"[]
This unnamed Met, nicknamed "Giant Met Cannon", is basically a giant version of the Metall Cannon that appears twice as a mid-boss in the Wily Battleship in Mega Man IV. The cannon is immune to attacks, the Met being its weak point. It constantly moves up and down, periodically stopping to attack by firing a large energy sphere. The second one can also fire homing missiles. It doesn't cause damage on contact, so Mega Man can safely stand on the cannon to quickly finish the Met with point blank attacks.
Other media[]
Metall Cannons had brief appearances in the Rockman 5 manga.
