This unnamed boss, most known by the nicknames "Bridge" and "Defense System", is a boss from Mega Man IV.
Mega Man IV[]
This large machine is the boss of the outside section of the Wily Battleship. Mega Man has to defeat it in order to get inside the Wily Battleship.
Attack Pattern[]
The boss arena is flat except for a small upper area on the left side. Remaining completely stationary on the right, this boss is made up of two parts of importance. The center is a gooey core that is usually protected by an outer shell, this core being the boss's weak point, and the boss also has an extendable arm at the top. The outer shell only opens for a brief second when it is ready to do an attack, always alternating between attacking by itself, or using the extendable arm to attack. When the core attacks, it actually uses 1 of 4 weapons from the Robot Masters fought earlier in the game: these include Ring Boomerang, Power Stone, Napalm Bomb, and Ballade Cracker. Ring Boomerang is simply shot at the player's position (which is fixated at where the player is when the core first opens, NOT when it shoots the projectile) before returning to the core. Ballade Cracker is also fired at the player's position, though it explodes on contact with the ground or wall. Napalm Bomb lobs 2 projectiles in the air, just like how Napalm Man uses it, and targets the player the same way as the previous weapons do. Power Stone is the only weapon that doesn't aim at Mega Man, instead sending out 3 stones to spiral just like how Mega Man uses it, tasking the player to slide in between the spinning rocks. When the extendable arm is selected to attack, it juts forward until it detects Mega Man below it; the arm then turns 90 degrees to try and stab him from above, hanging there for a few seconds before retracting. The extendable arm moves at a fast speed, but Mega Man can best dodge this by sliding towards the boss from the left side.
Weaknesses[]
This boss has many weaknesses: the biggest of which is Pharaoh Shot, with a charged version doing 6 damage and destroying it in just 4 hits, or 3 charged shots and 1 uncharged. Speaking of, the uncharged version does 2 damage as well. However, timing the attack to hit the boss may be tricky because the core only stays open for a short time. The boss is also weak to Beat, who does 4 damage and automatically attacks the core as soon as it opens, favoring a close-range bait strategy. In addition, the boss takes 3 damage from Power Stone, Napalm Bomb, and Ballade Cracker, and takes 2 damage from Ring Boomerang and Crystal Eye. As with most other bosses, this boss takes 3 damage from a fully-charged buster shot.
The boss is immune to Charge Kick due to the core's hitbox being above ground.

Trivia[]
- This boss can be compared to the Combo Cannon from the Kirby series. It is similar in that it is found on the bridge of a large aerial battleship and the way it attacks using both an extendable arm and a cannon.
