Selby was the owner of the Brass Monkey Saloon nightclub and a high-ranking criminal leader in Madripoor. She was met by Baron Zemo seeking information about a reproduced Super Soldier Serum. However, after she discovered Zemo's accomplice Smiling Tiger was an impostor, Selby was assassinated by Sharon Carter.

One night at Brass Monkey Saloon, Selby was met by Helmut Zemo who had wanted information about the maker of the newly reproduced Super Soldier Serum. She was introduced to the Winter Soldier and Smiling Tiger and told Zemo the maker was Wilfred Nagel who lived in Madripoor also. After Smiling Tiger's phone rang, his sister called him Sam giving away Zemo's accomplice as an imposter. Selby then ordered the three be killed before she was shot by a sniper, later revealed to be Sharon Carter.[3]
