Black Bolt meets Sammy
King of the Inhumans Black Bolt, who had beed forcefully exiled to Earth, was arrested by the Honolulu Police Department, who locked him up in the Oahu County Correctional Facility.[2]. There, Black Bolt met fellow inmate and Inhuman Sammy, who had previously been contact by Evan Declan in order for both Black Bolt and Sammy to escape from prison. Sammy arranged for Black Bolt to be transferred into his cell and told Black Bolt about his plan.[1]

A few of the guards sought out to terrorize Black Bolt after he injured a few of the cops from the Honolulu Police Department. They brought him out to the courtyard where they hoped that the other inmates would attack him, but were angry when they praised him. The guards then decided to attack Black Bolt, which then caused the inmates to fight back, causing a riot.
Evan Declan comes to help Black Bolt and Sammy to escape
When more guards came out to stop the riot, Black Bolt fought off the guards with ease. Sammy and Black Bolt then left the fight and made their way through the prison towards the garage. Sammy then used his powers to melt the door, letting the two out where they were met by Evan Declan in a helicopter, who took both Black Bolt and Sammy away from the prison.[1]

Evan Declan took Sammy and Black Bolt to the Declan Research Facility Lab, where he had hoped to perform some genetic testing on them. Declan also promised to help Black Bolt find his wife Medusa. However, Black Bolt and Sammy soon discovered that they could be in danger in Declan's lab and decided to leave.[3]
Unbeknownst to them, Medusa had witnessed Black Bolt's escape and watched in despair as he flew away from her. Therefore, she forcefully enlisted Louise Fisher's assistance in finding her husband.[1]
Sammy felt in debt to Black Bolt for having helped him escape from prison. This was later used by Auran and her Attilan Royal Guards to lure Black Bolt into an ambush in an attempt to capture him.[4]
