Layout[]

Shocking Arrow Lifts! does not affect the layout of Wet-Dry World, so it can be completed even when selecting any other mission of Wet-Dry World before entering. It is one of the missions to take place in the main area of Wet-Dry World.

Objective[]

Mario (or Yoshi, Luigi, or Wario in Super Mario 64 DS) have to use a series of Arrow Lifts to reach a platform with a ! Block containing the Power Star. To accomplish this task, the water level has to partially fill the area. If it is not, the Crystal Tap on the large stone structure can be used to adjust the water level to the appropriate height.

Once the water level is at its appropriate height, Mario has to swim north to the floating wooden platforms and use them to jump up onto the smaller platform above with the nearby Arrow Lifts. Mario has to use the Arrow Lifts to reach the platform on the other side while avoiding the Amp circling the lifts along the way. Once Mario is on the other platform, where there is a Kuromame, jumping at the ! Block produces the Power Star.

There are three other ways to complete the mission, none of which involve the use of the arrow lifts:

• If the water level is below the platforms, Mario can long-jump to the platform with the Power Star.
• If the water level is at its maximum height, Mario can jump out of the water below the yellow block to destroy it. This method is not usable in Super Mario 64 DS.
• If the water level is at its lowest, Mario can use a warp by a Crystal Tap to reach the platform with the cannon and then jump off to reach the ! Block.
