Monoliths (ć¢ććŖć¹ Monorisu) are Underworld enemies that debuted in the original Kid Icarus.
Physical Appearance[]
In the original Kid Icarus, the Monolith appears to be a metallic, blue plate in the shape of a square.
In Kid Icarus: Uprising, it retains its previous appearance with the exception of purple engravings on its surface.
Appearances[]
Kid Icarus[]
āThis is Pit's opponent in the Sacred Training Chamber. This is an iron plate that used to be used for training Palutena's warriors. Watch out! It falls down towards Pit.ā |
Monoliths appear inside Sacred Training Chambers, where they swarm the room and ram into Pit. Their Hit Points are randomly generated, though the number never exceeds 2.
Hit Points | Damage | Hearts | Score (Experience) |
1-2 | 1 | 1 | 0 |
Kid Icarus: Of Myths and Monsters[]
Their swarm appears to be greater than it was in the original Kid Icarus, but the survival period is now shorter.
Hit Points | Damage | Hearts | Score (Experience) |
1 | 1 | 0 | 0 |
Kid Icarus: Uprising[]
Unlike the original Kid Icarus, Monoliths are impervious to all attacks. They typically obstruct Pit's way by following a set path through narrow passages, around items, or around other enemies.
Idol Description[]
Monolith[]
Monoliths are flying objects that are said to have once been used in the training of soldiers. They repel all attacks, and their magic properties allow them to ignore gravity and freely transport Underworld troops.

Trivia[]
- Monoliths are named after geographical formations that consist of a single massive rock, resembling a mountain. The name comes from the Greek word monolithos, which means "one stone."
