only to live through it all because the Creator decided to curse you with rust fur.
It gives you a certain motive that a redemption arc can’t trump.”
–Robigo
Robigo is a Raposa created by GuyThatExists that appears in the short stories The Lavasteam Chronicles Part Two, Salem Rose Pt. 1, and Pt. 2 as a major character. She also appears in Blank Slates 3 as a cameo.
After being arrested and exiled for destruction of property, Robigo spent some time on Ex-Isle, where she was kidnapped and trapped in the Giant Robosa by Salem. After being used as a battery for 34 years, she finally escaped in 2042. She would go on to find Kamalah and gain access to a Time Machine, and she would fight with Salem Rose during his campaign until being persuaded otherwise. She would then help defeat him and go on to live in Lavasteam.
Appearance[edit]
Robigo is a tall Raposa with rust fur. During her time on Ex-Isle, she wore a rust-colored jacket that almost blended in with her fur, along with ripped jeans. After escaping the Giant Robosa, she took some clothes from Lavasteam.
Story[edit]
Early Life[edit]
It is currently unknown if Robigo was born in Lavasteam or Rust City, but she ended up in Lavasteam by the time she had children. It is unknown if she ever married, but she eventually had two children - a son, Spike, who displayed the Rust-Furred Gene, and a daughter, Latries, who did not. Eventually, she moved in with her son and began to abuse her special genes to get into dangerous areas in search of treasure, while her daughter married into the Royal Family.
The Lavasteam Chronicles Part Two[edit]
Exile[edit]
Robigo is first seen exploring the Magma Flow Factory with her son, Spike. The two of them leave the area with a BakiBeard Coin, but they are stopped by Queen Letit, along with the Lavasteam Royal Guard. Letit sends Spike home with a fine, but she explains to Robigo that because of everything she's stolen, she has to choose a punishment - be sent to Ex-Isle for a number of years, or pay a large fine. Robigo decides to go to Ex-Isle, and Kacha comes with her to pack a single bag before leaving. She eventually befriends Regina, Archie, and Robin. When Kacha is exiled, Robigo befriends both her and Byetts.
Time with Oma and Ocean[edit]
Some time later, Robigo, along with Kacha and Byetts, discover Oma and Ocean in a lower level of Ex-Isle before breakfast one day. They are interrupted by Elodie, a member of Watersong's Royal Guard, who tries to confinscate all of Oma and Ocean's bags. After Kacha tells Elodie off, Robigo and Byetts help bring the bags upstairs. The five exiles eat breakfast, and Robigo talks with Byetts about the new Giant Robosa that Key had been building.
A week later, Robigo and Oma listen to Terra, another member of the Lavasteam Royal Guard, tell the exiles that Miney's new advisor would be visiting the island. She is then presented with a group portrait of her, Byetts, Kacha, Oma, Ocean, and a mysterious grey Raposa. The image of Robigo is extremely well drawn, a fact that Byetts takes credit for. Robigo lightheartedly jabs Byetts for his skill. Just then, Kacha runs up to the group and explains how Miney's advisor is named Salem. She is chased off by Elodie and Mog, and Byetts begins to explain Lavasteam's history to Oma and Ocean. While Byetts is talking, Ocean leaves the conversation to ask Robigo how she got stuck on Ex-Isle. Robigo explains how Letit had given her options, and Ocean gives her a hug after hearing the story. Robigo then asks Oma why Wilfre might have returned, and she presents spite as a possible motive. Oma dismisses this, saying that Wilfre was always calculated with his plans.
Kidnapped by Salem[edit]
Another week later, Robigo is getting breakfast when Kacha introduces her to Colepere, and she makes a joke about him killing someone, something he doesn't take lightly. Just then, Salem arrives on the island, telling the exiles that he would like to interview some of them. After learning from Colepere that Salem isn't who he says he is, Robigo is called by Elodie to be interviewed. She reluctantly goes with her to meet Salem, and she is interviewed by the Raposa.
In the meeting, she immediately calls him out as a fraud, making fun of his costume, mentioning his journey in Watersong, and telling him that his plan seems like it was thrown together in a night. Salem mentions the tragedy of Rust City, saying that he needs to know about the Rust-Furred Raposa since so many of them lived in Lavasteam. After admitting that he wasn't truly Salem, and telling her that he knowns about Spike, her son, he asks Robigo to unmask him. When she can't he continues with the interview, asking if she would like to leave the island early. She admits that she does, but she would rather stay behind and be with her new friends. He lets her go after that question, but before she leaves the room, Salem grabs her and threatens her family, forcing her to stay silent about his plan.
By the end of the day, Robigo had hid in her room from Salem, still shaken up about his motives and knowledge. However, she is suddenly approached by a mysterious apparition that spoke to her in a strange language. When Ocean finds Robigo, she reveals the figure to be Fext, the mysterious Raposa she had been talking to through her stay on the island. However, before Ocean can explain Fext to Robigo, they hear Terra and the guard running down the stairs to find her. Fext swoops over to Ocean and Robigo, trying to conceal them, but they only hide Ocean, as Robigo darts out of the way. However, she falls right into Salem, who had just teleported into her room.
When Terra arrives at her room, Robigo is in tears due to Salem, and Terra asks what had happened. Salem explains that Robigo was chosen to return home early, and that he would like a few more moments alone with her. Terra complies, sending the rest of the guard away. Robigo tries to avoid leaving with Salem, but he reveals himself as Wilfre to her, using his Shadow to knock her unconscious. He picks up her body with his cape and opens a portal to Lavasteam, depositing her body into the Giant Robosa, where she is used as a living battery.
The Lavasteam Chronicles Part Three[edit]
Saving Mari[edit]
While serving as a battery, Robigo would be called by the Creator to rescue Mari from Allight's grasp. Using the power of lava and the Giant Robosa, Robigo burnt Allight's ribbons off of Mari, saving her and allowing her to find Lydia and fight against Allight.
Salem Rose Pt. 1[edit]
Escape[edit]
34 years later, after suffering the torture of being a living battery, Robigo claws her way out of the Volcanic Core. When she pulls herself onto a rock, she discovers that she has developed lava-based powers, and begins escaping the cavern. Eventually, she makes it to the center of Lavasteam where she is confronted by Russet and Lock. They ask her why she is naked in the center of town, and she explains that Salem trapped her in the Giant Robosa. She asks them where Salem currently is so that she can kill him. Russet tells her about Wilfre and his reformation, but also directs her to Miles in case she still wanted to hunt him. He and Lock then try to ask her some questions, but she waves them off, telling the two that she only survived the lava because she was "cursed with rust fur," a sentiment that Russet takes to heart. She then puts on some clothes that she finds in the village and flies off to Watersong to find Miles.
Travelling Through Time[edit]
When she arrives in Miles's Mansion, she finds his blackboard with plans to defeat Wilfre. She eventually learns that he has plans to find Milfre and Athys, also learning that someone named "Kam" made a Time Machine. With the new information, she begins to investigate who "Kam" is, leaving the Mansion. A few days later, Robigo finds Kamalah in her lab, forcing her to take the two of them to 1982 to kidnap Athys. Milfre walks in on the trio returning to 2042, and Robigo takes a liking to her. Kamalah instructs the four of them to get into a Time Machine and go to Deadwood. Robigo tries to fly off, but Kamalah explains that they plan to use the time machines from Deadwood. Robigo admits her mistake and teleports to Deadwood.
When the four of them arrive inside Deadwood, they meet Salem Rose, a corrupted version of Miles, and he assigns the four of them missions. He tells Robigo to find a list of times and places where Wilfre was alone, vulnerable, and afraid. She questions his authority, and after he uses his Shadow abilities to possess Deadwood, using him to attack her, she obliges and travels through time to 2007. She watches as Wilfre covers the bridge with darkness as multiple other time machines appear in the field on the other side of the Village Bridge. She watches Milfre, Kamalah, and Stampy appear from a time machine while the two, unknown to her, screeners, Willham and Shadow Mari, descend from above. She turns around to leave the scene and report to Salem Rose when she notices Salem Rose and a future version of herself exiting two other time machines.
Talking with Deadwood[edit]
Back in 2042, Robigo sits inside a serene and empty Deadwood while YoYaYa rests next to her. While waiting for Salem Rose to return, she asks him about his origins. Deadwood responds with uncertainty to many of her questions, but he can vividly remember an explosion and the screams of many Raposa. Robigo remarks that she would like to visit it, but is afraid that she would be killed by the blast. Deadwood says the he could not hear her very unique voice in the choir of screams, telling her that she would likely be safe, should she try to visit him. Robigo states that she would still like to wait a bit longer before visiting him, and the two of them, along with YoYaYa, rest in the quiet forest.
Salem Rose Pt. 2[edit]
Saving Stampy[edit]
Eventually, Salem Rose returns to Deadwood and orders Robigo to leave. She returns to her time machine and hears Salem Rose killing YoYaYa before taking a nap. When she wakes up, she finds Deadwood destroyed and runs inside to rescue a family of birds. She then pulls Stampy out from the rubble and takes him to her time machine, teleporting both of them to Lavasteam. She leaves Stampy's body in Lock's care, and Lock asks her to talk to Russet. She denies his request, but reassures him that she would come back. She then flies off to find Salem Rose.
Working with Salem Rose[edit]
She lands at Miles' Mansion and starts to knock on his door. Suddenly, Salem Rose opens the door, shoving the Lavasteam Orb into her body, amplifying her lava powers. She tells him about a time where Wilfre was alone, vulnerable, and afraid, and Salem Rose instructs her to use her machine to teleport to Kamalah's Lab, so the two of them leave. When they arrive at Kamalah's Lab, Robigo walks inside, entering Kamalah's time machine and leaving her a note with Salem Rose's next location. She then sets the lab on fire from the inside out while Salem Rose uses Color and the power of the Galactic Jungle Orb to destroy her lab. With the lab destroyed, Robigo and Salem Rose reenter their time machines and travel to 2007 to fight Wilfre.
Vs. Milfre's Team[edit]
The two of them appear outside Rapoville in 2007 when Wilfre covers the Village Bridge in Darkness, an event she had witness only a few moments ago. She watches as Milfre, Kamalah, Stampy, Willham, Shadow Mari, Jowee, and Lock appear from the time machine, and Salem Rose waves Robigo off as he goes to talk with Milfre. When he attacks her, Robigo moves into battle and fights Milfre, Kamalah, and Shadow Mari, keeping them away from Salem Rose. Minus Kamalah, they begin to fight in the sky, with Milfre trying to reason with Kamalah. Milfre brings up the death of Deadwood and YoYaYa, causing Robigo to pause. This pause gives Milfre enough time to catch up to Robigo and douse her leg with water, causing her to crash to the ground.
On her way down, Robigo catches Jowee, who had just been disarmed by Salem Rose, setting him down next to an immobilized Wilfre. She is then cornered by Kamalah, Milfre, and Shadow Mari, demanding the Lavasteam Orb. Robigo starts to remove the orb from her body when she decides to fly into the air and attack Salem Rose with it. While Salem Rose is on the ground, Robigo flies next to him and begins to shoot him with a stream of fire, although he easily pushes through. Robigo's attack causes the rest of Milfre's Team (minus Jowee) to attack him as well, by unbeknownst to them, Salem Rose uses the Ruby Earring to absorb the energy from the attacks. He releases a powerful wave of ruby energy, knocking Robigo unconscious.
Returning Home[edit]
When Robigo wakes up, she finds herself in the Developer's Grove, telling Joe to set the well for 2042. When she fully heals, she jumps through the well, appearing in Rapoville in 2042 with Milfre and Shadow Mari, the three of them carrying Kamalah's, Lock's, and Jowee's bodies. Mari comes out to see them, causing Shadow Mari to return to the Grove. Mari helps Robigo and Milfre bring Kamalah, Lock, and Jowee to Dr. Cure's Hospital. Robigo helps lay the three of them in beds, and after Dr. Cure confirms their presence, Robigo and Milfre leave the hospital. Robigo then says her goodbyes to Milfre, flying off to Lavasteam.
Blank Slates 3[edit]
Meeting Samuel and the Droogles[edit]
In an epilogue for Blank Slates 3, Robigo is seen returning to the destroyed Deadwood, where Samuel was meditating. She asks him how he knew Deadwood, and the two of them decide to meditate together. Robigo notices the Droogle Leader's Sword underneath his robe and asks him about it, so he tells her that it was a gift from a friend. Just then, the Droogle army, including the Droogle Leader, Droogle Countess, and Pot, appear in front of Deadwood. Robigo watches as the Droogle Leader breaks down, mourning Deadwood's death.

Trivia[edit]
- The name Robigo is a Latin word meaning "Rust," referencing the color of her fur.
- Deadwood says that Robigo has a very unique voice due to her exposure to lava.
- Although Byetts is Robigo's grandson, she doesn't seem to recognize him while they are both on Ex-Isle.
- This may be due to Byetts transitioning, but this has yet to be confirmed.
- This may also be due to Robigo living with her son, Spike, instead of with her daughter, Latries, and the royal family.
