Trivia[]
- The series was originally developed for Disney+, but was moved over to Hulu as the themes for the show were considered "too mature". By season three however, they somewhat reversed their decision and had it simultaneously appear on both streamers.
- Johnny Sequoyah was originally cast as Mia, but was replaced with Rachel Hilson due to creative reasons.
- The original book Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda, was followed by two other novels, Leah on the Offbeat and Love, Creekwood. Neither book was adapted into a film, nor did they serve as the basis for the series.
