Book of Enchantment

Book of Enchantment was a planned series that was to be developed for the Disney+ streaming platform. The show was to focus on the Disney Villains, and was based on the Villains book series written by Serena Valentino.^[1]

Though never officially announced, it was reported on August 22, 2019 that after a year of working on the series and finding its tone too dark, efforts were made to make it more lighthearted partway through production, but Disney was still unsatisfied with the results for remaining too dark. Rather than make further compromises to the project's tone, the show was cancelled before it was greenlit.^[2]^[3]
