Ice, real name Tora Olafsdotter, is a female super-hero with magic-cryokinetic powers. Despite her shy and reserved personality, she is an extremely powerful metahuman. There was a traumatic event in her childhood in Norway where she accidentally killed her own father. Her best friend is Fire and her most regular romantic interest is Guy Gardner, one of the Green Lanterns. She eventually joined the Global Guardians as the second Icemaiden after Sigrid Nansen left the team. Ice has been involved with the Justice League and the Cadre.
Ice was created by Keith Giffen, J.M. DeMatteis and Kevin Maguire, first appearing in Justice League International #12 (1988).
