Swamp Thing (disambiguation)

Swamp Thing is an elemental creature resembling a mass of vegetable matter who shares a connection to all plant life on the planet Earth through a network called the Green, often acting as it's chosen avatar. Throughout history, many people have served as an avatar under the name Swamp Thing. In the early 20th century, scientist Alex Olsen became Swamp Thing after being killed by his assistant in a sabotaged experiment in a plot to steal the affections of Linda Olsen. Next, the memories and personality of botanist Alec Holland composed the next Swamp Thing when he died in a swamp shortly after creating a hormonal Bio-Restorative Formula for plants. He is associated with the Parliament of Trees, the White Lantern Corps, and the Justice League Dark.

The current Swamp Thing is Levi Kamei, a young scientist hailing from India raised within a environmentalist community who awaken his power as the next chosen Avatar of the Green in wake of his father's death and is supported by Alec Holland. Kamei is associated with Parliament of Trees, Justice League, Justice League Dark, and the Titans.
