Background[]

As an infant, Wyldfyre ended up in the realm of the Wyldness after an advanced ship crash landed there carrying her and her Caregiver. The pair encountered a dragon whom Wyldfyre would eventually name Heatwave, who became a part of Wyldfyre's surrogate family as she grew up in the Wyldness. She eventually developed Elemental Powers that allowed her to produce flames. Wyldfyre also developed a penchant for mischief and enjoyed playing "pranks" on the Lava-Tides who lived nearby.

Wyldfyre's carefree existence came to an end when Heatwave was abducted by the Claws of Imperium. Despite her caregiver's warnings, Wyldfyre insisted on going after him, only to end up a prisoner in Imperium herself. However, she was freed by Lloyd Garmadon, whom she initially mistook for an enemy before discovering him to be another of the Elemental Masters. Together they found and freed Heatwave and several other dragons the Imperians had taken captive.

In the ensuing stampede, Wyldfyre ignored Lloyd's counsel towards caution, preferring to rely on brute force. However, this could only get her so far, as they soon came up against the indestructible Photac Beasts.
