The Ice Dragon Creature is a white, six-legged dragon affiliated with ice in the Ninjago theme.
Background[]
Hailing from one of the Sixteen Realms, the Ice Dragons became residents of the world born from the Merge. A pair of them took up residence in the Cloud Kingdom after it passed over the place where they had been dwelling. When a Merge quake opened a rift from which a tentacled monster emerged to threaten their new home, the dragons attacked the beast and helped the Ninja to drive it back into the rift. However, the pair had caught the attention of the forces of Imperium, who used the chaos of the rift reopening to admit the original creature and several others to take the pair of dragons captive.
Lloyd, the Green Ninja, later found the pair in captivity in Imperium's capital alongside an Earth Dragon, a Fire Dragon, Heatwave, and Jiro. He and Wyldfyre freed them from their cells and led the dragons in an escape attempt, only to run into Imperium's Photac Beasts at the main gate to the city. The dragons-later joined by Zanth of Djinjago-fought the artificial monsters but could do them no actual harm. In a bid to help Sora, who had a plan to disable the Photacs, Lloyd led the dragons in an attack on the Imperium Palace, only for them to be surrounded.
Fortunately, help arrived as the Imperium Monastery rose up from beneath the city and opened to admit Lloyd's teammates Kai, Nya, and Zane. The Ice Dragons and the others fled inside the monastery after a brief continuation of the battle, but were still in danger from the Imperium forces. After communing with one of the Source Dragons, who lay imprisoned beneath Imperium, Lloyd was able to use a portion of its power to charge up a portal gate within the monastery. This allowed the dragons to flee from the Imperium Monastery to the Monastery of Spinjitzu, safely out of the reach of the forces of Imperium.
The Ice Dragons apparently split up after this adventure, with one departing for parts unknown. The other, apparently eager to help its newfound friends, remained at the monastery and became the mount of Zane, Ninja of Ice. It would bear him during one excursion to stop a Merge quake, and later to the Temple of the Dragon Energy Cores. A pair of Ice Dragons would later attack the Crossroads after their eggs were stolen for use by a Lava-Tide chef. After being subdued by the Ninja, the pair had their eggs returned to them and presumably departed with no further incident.
