Marcy's journal is, as the name indicates, the journal of Marcy Wu. It was one of the items she had brought from Earth to the world of Amphibia. She used the journal to take notes on Amphibia and all of its surroundings. At some point off-screen, Marcy slipped it into Anne's backpack before she was injured by King Andrias in "True Colors", and the latter used the journal on Earth to add her own thoughts and translate the Amphibian alphabet hidden message on the Frog Vase. Anne returned the journal to Marcy during the events of the series finale, also off-screen.
A real-life adaption of the journal, Marcy's Journal: A Guide to Amphibia, was published by TokyoPop and Disney Books on December 6 and December 13, 2022 in paperback and hardback editions respectively.[1][2]
Appearance[]
The journal is a notebook with an outward covered spine. The front and back covers are a mauve color, with the spine cover having a darker tint. The cover is filled with stickers of Marcy's crossbow and a chicken. The pages are a yellow tone and are filled with sticky notes and tabs.
The inside of the journal includes a lot of information and sketches. In "Marcy at the Gates", information about the Barbari-Ants is inside the book. In "Scavenger Hunt", Marcy draws some realistic sketches of Polly eating a Beetle Burger and of Anne making a walrus impression. As seen in "The First Temple", "The Second Temple", "The Third Temple", and "Temple Frogs", the Amphibian alphabet is written down inside the journal, along with help to translate it.
