A Volcakeno is a traditional dessert by toads to which it includes an eruption of chocolate lava, or "chocolava", and a battle with giant brown hornets, which can then be eaten together once the lava has cooled and the hornets are killed.

Grime once made one that accidentally destroyed the Plantar Farm.[1] It seems to be set off by intense arguments, as seen by Anne and Sasha's feud causing it to enlarge and go through the roof.

Appearance[]

It is a giant cake decorated with light yellow frosting, blood-red swirls, dripping chocolate, white frosting pointing straight up, and toad skulls. There are horns and a giant skull on top, and the cake contains gray circle holes through which the hornets are emitted.

Background[]

Grime arrives at the Plantars' dinner party with a giant cake and promises that it will end the night with a chocolate explosion. After Hop Pop sends Sasha to the "Shame Corner" for a 10-minute timeout due to breaking the rules of Drawsidoodle, she gets into an argument with Anne. This argument causes the Volcakeno to rise and produce steam until it finally breaks through the roof and erupts with lava everywhere. The Plantars initially assume that Grime made the cake as revenge for Sasha losing her battle against Anne at Toad Tower.[2] However, Grime reveals that it is a toad custom for guests to defeat the hornets dwelling inside the cake before it can be consumed. Soon, hornets begin to fly out of the cake and paralyze Grime. Once Anne, Sasha, and Marcy finish defeating the angry swarm of hornets, who ultimately fall into the lava and perish, the Chocolava's heat diminishes, and the ground eventually solidifies.
