Painman is a minor antagonist in the Perfect Origin Arc of the manga series Kinnikuman.
Biography[]
Past[]
In the past, Painman was one of the few Chojin protected from the genocide of all Chojin by The Man who would make Painman and the other Chojins protected by him immortal and be trained in the art of wrestling. These Chojins who The Man taught would go on to be called the Perfect Origin, the original Perfect Chojin.
However, once the Perfect Origin learned that many Chojin survived the extinction and would repopulate, The Man decided that the surviving Chojin should be left alone, to grow so that the Perfect Origin may see their evolution, however, quickly the strong would dominate the weak, killing anyone they wanted. This resulted in the Perfect Origin going to Earth to genocide any Chojin who was dominating others.
After this point, Painman agreed that all of the Perfect Origin should hide themselves away in the Chojin Graveyard and only accept truly strong Chojin to be their students.
Kinnikuman (2011)[]
After Akuma Shogun reconnected the Chojin Graveyard to the world above, the Six Devil Knights stormed in with Junkman coming face to face with Painman immediately.
Painman would order all of the Graveyard Demons to not interfere with their fight before leading Junkman to their caged ring.
Junkman would rush into and try to crush Painman, however, he would keep avoiding his attacks and producing Bubble Dummies that Junkman keeps hitting as Painman keeps beating him.
Soon, Junkman would catch the real Painman and flatten him into a cube, thinking that it would kill him, however, Painman simply reinflated and go back to attacking Junkman, beating him down to the ground. When Junkman sprouted spikes on his chest to stab Painman, he inflated even more air to knock Junkman away. Junkman tried to impale Painman with his spiked crushers but he pushed them away and would pin Junkman to the ground before mocking both Junkman and Akuma Shogun for thinking that hardness was the best offense in the world.
Painman then elbows dropped onto Junkman and wrapped his soft body around him, suffocating him in the process. Junkman managed to escape by bending his crushers to attack Painman's head. After breaking free, the room began to feel hot from Junkman's attacks, giving him the idea to keep attacking to raise the temperature of the room, making Painman's cushioned body expand due to the hot air and allowing Junkman to stab Painman's body, narrowly missing his heart.
Painman was delighted that he found an opponent who could actually damage his body after hundreds of millions of years, however, Junkman barely had enough stamina to continue fighting, leading Painman to think that he had already won. Junkman then broke off one of his crushers, making him light enough to leap up above Painman and stab him with the other crusher both driving him down and squishing Painman onto his discarded crusher, popping Painman's entire body and causing him to bleed everywhere.
With his last bit of strength, Painman gave Junkman his dumbbell and ordered all of the Graveyard Demons to leave Junkman alone before finally succumbing to his wounds.
Powers and Abilities[]
- Perfect Chojin Physiology: As a Chojin blessed by The Man himself, Painman has immense strength, speed and durability far above most other Chojin who already have the ability to perform superhuman feats. Additionally, due to being a Perfect Chojin, Painman doesn't age at all, staying at his peak physical age after millions of years. Other abilities that Chojin have that Painman likely has is the ability to grow to be as large as a building and the ability to fly without wings or thrusters, even in the vacuum of space.
- Bubble Dummy: Painman is able to shoot out small bubbles from his fists which quickly grow to resemble him identically. These fakes are used to trick an opponent into attacking the wrong target.
- Cushioned Body: Painman's entire body is made up of air-filled cushions, these prevent most physical attacks from harming him and if he were to be crushed then he would reinflate, however, if he is exposed to too much heat then his body will inflate too much and become easy to pop.
