Fang is the main antagonist of the 2003 video game Chopper's Big Adventure. He is a scientist and the big brother of Raccoon
Personality[]
Since his animal transformation, Fang's personality has been strongly characterized by distrust of other people, which is why he cursed all people and wanted to transform into something similar to himself. He was convinced that an earlier attack by pirates was initiated by the villagers and that the Straw Hats were also fighting against Fang at their behest. In order to achieve his goal, he even accepted that something might happen to his brother Raccoon, who is very important to him. Before that, however, he was completely different and the well-being of the villagers was close to his heart, and after his defeat, mutual trust seems to be slowly developing again. He is also very interested in the mythical creature Kappa after he was told that a pirate had turned into one.
Powers and Abilities[]
Fang is a scientist and is particularly well-versed in research into animal and human biology. He created a drug that allowed him to transform people into humanoid animals. He also created a drug that allowed the user to transform into a full animal form that was larger and stronger than the normal animal. His research results are very similar to the effects of the Zoan devil fruits, but Chopper's knowledge is a little more advanced, as unlike Fang, he was able to create an antidote quite quickly, something that Fang thought was impossible.
It is not known whether Fang was a fighter before his transformation, but his transformation into a wolf makes him extremely fast, creating the illusion that there are two of him. He is almost impossible to catch, but even when he takes a hit, he shows that he can take a lot. He uses his claws to attack, which can inflict fatal injuries. When he transforms completely into a large wolf, his paws are much stronger and he can create razor-sharp cutting waves with his mouth.
Biography[]
Past[]
Fang once lived happily with his brother in the island village, following in the footsteps of his grandfather, who was a renowned scientist and created a machine that could harness solar energy for the village. This transformed the former winter island into an island with green meadows and summer temperatures. One day Fang took over his grandfather's machine and used the resulting energy for further research with three colleagues. His brother Raccoon was usually at his side. However, the machine repeatedly got out of control, which resulted in the island shaking slightly. Fang now did research to get this under control for the benefit of the villagers, but also continued his experiments with the implementation of animal abilities in people. However, an accident occurred and Fang, his brother and his three colleagues turned into animals. Fang took on the external characteristics of a wolf, Raccoon the characteristics of a raccoon and his three colleagues, Azuki, Edamame and Daizu, turned into humanoid pigs. Fang ruled out the possibility of creating an antidote for the transformation. One day, they were attacked by pirates who wanted to settle in the cave and Fang and his three colleagues defeated the entire gang, but Fang and his colleagues believed that the pirates were sent by the villagers, who avoided and banished the researchers because of their animalistic appearance. Only Raccoon did not believe this and often stayed near the village. Fang eventually developed a drug with which he also turned the other villagers into animals and planned to transform the entire population of the Grand Line.
Present[]
When the Straw Hat Pirates reached the island, they were also transformed into animals overnight in the village. Only Chopper showed no changes, as he was already an animal. It was up to the ship's doctor to transform his friends back and find out the secret of the island. He was quickly able to produce an antidote, which Fang thought was impossible, but the herbs for it were hard to get hold of. Raccoon informed his brother about the pirates, with Fang being particularly interested because of Usopp's transformation into a Kappa. After Josephine and Azuki were defeated, he appeared to them and learned more details about the pirates. Fang appeared again after Chopper and Usopp were able to take out Daizu. He was surprised that Usopp was standing in front of him in human form again, but took out both of them with just one attack. Before he could finally finish them off, however, Luffy appeared in monkey form and drove him away, after which he returned to the village with Usopp and Chopper. Fang was disappointed because his brother Raccoon had led the captain of the Straw Hats to him. Fang then retreated to the temple in the grassland, but Raccoon informed the Straw Hats again where they could find his brother. After Edamame, who could not let the group through and was instructed by Fang to injure his brother if necessary, was defeated, Fang appeared before the group again. Luffy immediately wanted to attack him with an animalistic Gum-Gum attack, but Raccoon jumped in between and was hit by the attack, causing him to fall to the ground. Lying on the ground, he again told his brother that he was wrong before he fainted. While the Straw Hats took Raccoon to the village for treatment, Fang retreated to the temple, but was worried about his brother. He was accordingly relieved when Chopper appeared again later and assured him that Raccoon was feeling better. The decisive duel ensued, in which the differences in character between Fang and Chopper became apparent. Fang could not believe that Chopper, even though they were both cast out or stoned and had to endure even worse suffering because of their appearance, was able to forgive and not develop hatred towards humanity. After Fang suffered his first defeat, he asked Chopper to help him with his research, but Chopper vehemently refused, whereupon Fang completely transformed into a large wolf. But even in this form, Fang was ultimately defeated. The recovered Raccoon then appeared and they brought the unconscious Fang to the village, where he was treated. The misunderstandings were cleared up and mutual trust slowly grew again, so that in the evening a celebration was even held, which Fang's colleagues also attended.
The next morning (save and load the game after the credits), Raccoon informed Chopper and his brother that he had discovered a secret room in the temple. Fang then made his way there. Through the room, the player reaches a fifth dungeon, which consists of the levels of the previous ones. Fang can be found on levels 100 and 200 and is looking for a Kappa.
