New Dalek Paradigm

The New Dalek Paradigm is an empire of Daleks that succeeded the New Dalek Empire and major antagonists in Doctor Who, appearing as recurring antagonists throughout the Eleventh Doctor's era.

History[]

After the New Dalek Empire was destroyed, three surviving Daleks fled with a progenitor device and concocted a plan to revive their race. As the progenitor would not recognize them as "pure" Daleks, the Daleks traveled to England in 1941 during World War II and posed as superweapons called "Ironsides" created to help the British armed forces in order to draw the Doctor out. Once the Doctor recognized them as Daleks and identified them, the Daleks used the Doctor's identification of them to get the progenitor to recognize them and carry out its function, resulting in the creation of five new variants of Dalek. The "Ironside" Daleks promptly allowed the New Paradigm Daleks to exterminate them for their impurities.

After escaping, the New Paradigm Daleks set about rebuilding the Dalek race. At some point, in response to the cracks in time, the New Paradigm Daleks formed the Alliance with the Cybermen, the Sontarans, the Autons and various other foes of the Doctor, who all blamed the Doctor for causing the cracks, and sealed him inside the Pandorica.

The Doctor at one point hunted down a New Paradigm Dalek in order to extract information from it related to the Silence.

At some point, the Dalek Prime Minister and Dalek Parliament took control of the New Dalek Paradigm from the Supreme Daleks. Seeking to cleanse the planet they had used for the Dalek Asylum, the New Dalek Paradigm forcibly enlisted the Doctor and his companions to disable the forcefield around the planet so they could bombard it.

Hierarchy[]

The Daleks of the New Dalek Paradigm have a more visible rank structure than other Dalek empires, with each Dalek's role signified by the color of their casing.

Supreme Dalek - Colored white, the leaders of the New Dalek Paradigm.
Strategist Dalek - Colored blue, their duty is to devise and direct battle plans.
Scientist Dalek - Colored orange, they handle research and experimentation.
Eternal Dalek - Colored yellow, holds an important but unspecified role.
Drone Dalek - Colored red, they are soldiers as well as commanders of bronze Dalek drones.
