Y is for Yield

Y is for Yield is the twenty-fifth episode of season 2, and the fifty-first episode overall of the TV series.

Plot[]

Final exams coincided with a test of cosmic strength, as the Guardians held the future of the universe in their hands. But will a snake in the grass force all to yield to a horrible new power?

In the B-story, C.H.Y.K.N., Elyon and Yan Lin's Altermere, who were trapped in the Scepter of Phobos, tried to talk to Taranee by telepathy, but they gave her a headache instead and Taranee had to deal with it to study for exams.

• Every second-season episode has a clear focus on one of the five main characters. This episode is one of 4 in the season to focus on Taranee Cook.
• A comment by Taranee in this episode implied Irma only achieves a grade of C on average on final report cards.
• Will implied that winter break is imminent, meaning this episode likely took place in mid-December.
• Matt was revealed to study trigonometry, as he compared Nerissa to it.
• Kadma is the only member of C.H.Y.K.N. to not have any speaking lines.
• This is the last episode that features Phobos as the lead villian of the series after spending the enteriety of Season 1 and 3 episodes (J is for Jewel,X is for Xanadu and this episode) of Season 2 in that role. This role is taken over by Cedric for the next episode.
