Coo's Forest is a Battle Stage that appears in all three Kirby Fighters games. It is based on Grass Land - Stage 5 from Kirby's Dream Land 3 and features the three Animal Friends Rick, Kine, and Coo as stage hazards.
Layout[edit]
Coo's Forest consists of a flat floor topped with three columns of two thin floors each situated between doorways within the trees in the background. Out from one of these doorways, either Rick, Kine, or Coo will appear regularly in order to attack the fighters. The damage they can deal is summarized as follows:
- Colliding with any Animal Friend causes 16 points of damage.
- Rick's fire breath deals 32 damage and can hit multiple times.
- Coo's feather boomerangs deal 32 damage each. He throws out two sets of three, but may not throw the second set if he is attacked enough.
- Kine flops around on the ground and has no special attack.
All of the Animal Friends can be attacked to hinder them, but they cannot be defeated.
The aesthetic of the stage is that of a white birch forest, presumably set within Grass Land. The surroundings mirror the general aesthetic of Kirby's Dream Land 3 as the visual style makes the area look as if it were a crayon drawing.
In Kirby Fighters 2, it is possible to toggle on or off the hazards for this stage in regular battles. When hazards are off, the Animal Friends will not appear.
Unlock requirements[edit]
In Kirby Fighters 2, Coo's Forest is unlocked upon attaining Fighters Rank level 25. The secret song for the stage is unlocked at a Fighters Rank of 76.
Origin[edit]
- Main article: Grass Land - Stage 5
Coo's Forest takes its aesthetic from Grass Land - Stage 5 in Kirby's Dream Land 3, and takes its theme from a medley of Coo and Rick's theme songs from Kirby's Dream Land 2. There is no specific area within Kirby's Dream Land 3 that matches the layout of the stage.
