Sam Curtis is a survivor of the outbreak in Skybound Entertainment's Comic Universe. He is a minor character in Thomas Dunne Books' The Walking Dead and a minor antagonist in Image Comics' The Walking Dead. He is a guard living in Woodbury. He is described as "hardly out of his teens, with a spindly body decked out in hip-hop regalia, and a headband drawn around his Jheri curls". He also looks "slightly stoned and more than a little paranoid".

Bruce split his four-man team into two, with Sam accompanying him and two unnamed men investigating the vehicles in the car-park nearby. Bruce and Sam discovered the survivors present within the abandoned Wal-Mart. Bruce had ordered them to come out, which resulted in Glenn coming alone and being promptly shot by Bruce. In response, Andrea shot Bruce through the throat and Michonne sneaked up and mutilated the two other men.
Sam witnessed the deaths of his three companions and despite Andrea ordering him to lower his gun, he instead cried out in a rage, screaming "You killed them... YOU KILLED THEM!", before raising his gun and promptly being shot in the head.

Trivia[]
- Sam is replaced by "Curtis" during the Walmart shootout in The Walking Dead: The Fall of the Governor.
- While this could be an error, it's also possible Sam and Curtis are the same character, as Curtis is a surname and there are many instances in the novels where a character is named, but their comic appearances differ from each other notably. This would likely be done to not introduce too many unnecessary characters and give already existing ones more activity.
- An example of this would be "Wes" and "Gus Strunk".

- In Issue 38 Sam has a nose piercing but in Issue 39 he doesn't, this is most likely a coloring error.
