The Walking Dead was a yearly novel series that takes place within Robert Kirkman's The Walking Dead comic series' universe. It was written by Robert Kirkman and Jay Bonansinga. The novel is published by Thomas Dunne Books.
The audiobooks of the series are read aloud by Fred Berman.
Premise[]
The series started off being told from the perspective of Brian Blake, revealing his origin, descent into madness, and how he came to known as the infamous "Governor". Later, the novels followed Lilly Caul, showing how she came to Woodbury, her side of the story during the prison assault, and what became of her afterwards.

- The start of the outbreak in the Novel Series is confirmed to be September 20th, 2012. However, this contradicts the Comic Series and Telltale Series start date of July 19th, 2003.
