Mitsuki Bakugo, better known as The Fearless Blaze is a minor antagonist during Part 14 of Joe's Cosmic Saga. She is the mother of Katsuki Bakugo and the spouse of Masaru Bakugo.

Origins[]

First encounter[]

Mitsuki Bakugo was first introduced as Katsuki's 30 year old mother, Mitsuki first says "Ah, hello! I'm Bakugo's Mother, The Name's Mitsuki! Who are you?", and as soon as Joebotnik introduced himself to her while he was there with Katsuki, Mitsuki felt attracted to Joebotnik simply because she felt an instant connection with him and Katsuki. She could sense the chemistry between their friendship as Joe did his best to make good first impressions to her, and she felt like there was a strong genuine connection Joe had with Katsuki since Mitsuki claims to know about Joe due to Katsuki "talking" about Joe despite Joe being new to town.

Although Joe may have brought Katsuki back to his family's house and Joe intended to stop by her house to have dinner with Katsuki (her son) and Mitsuki themselves, Mitsuki however, felt like the dinner was actually for her once Joe arrived (even when she was asking Joe about his bond with Katsuki, thinking Joe was dating her son at first before Joe clarifies their friendship being evident, making Mitsuki respect Joe as a person and as a friend to her son). She also thought that Joebotnik felt the same way as her (even when Joebotnik clearly didn't have any mutual feelings for her, at all). She felt that she and Joebotnik were meant to be together despite being the obviously large age gap, and she felt like going a bond with Joebotnik that seemed like it was gonna continue growing, yet she remained formal and nice to not make it seem obvious to Joe or her son.

When Katsuki seemed to encourage Joe to talk about himself, Joebotnik rejects this and decides to have Katsuki and Mitsuki themselves talk about themselves more in their own home, this made Mitsuki mention how it's really nice that he is listening to her for once and mention how she works as a fashion designer where fashion is her specialty. Joe mentions how much work Mitsuki must have on her hands, and she compliments Joe's formal way of speaking, with tons of giggling that Katsuki can spot her sounding flirty towards Joe.

Mitsuki even shares how Joe may be a friend of Katsuki, but she wanted to speak to Joe also. The very moment Joebotnik mistakenly shared the secret fact that he was a masseur (and after Katsuki teased Joe with cracking his back), Joebotnik telling Katsuki that Joe was wanting to make good first impressions to her mother and not act crude, this makes Mitsuki express her liking of Joe and finding him "entertaining" in contrast to her calling her son an "loud, abrasive little gremlin". Joe even tells her how Joe doesn't see Katsuki as "abrasive" once he got to know Katsuki a little more and share how humans have something of value before proceeding to crack Katsuki's back.

This made Mitsuki share how it's okay, how Katsuki is only a teen and Mitsuki seeing Joe's skills made her want to be comforted by Joe from the get-go, she seem to have expected him to have chiropractor skills, and she wanted to experience it for herself ever since Joe's arrival (right after Joe demonstrated cracking Katsuki's back "like a glowstick" with two karate chops). Even while she didn't once realize how incredibly flirtatious she seemed in front of Joebotnik and Katsuki themselves, when she was willing to move around as her son Katsuki insisted, right before Joe performs the "back-cracking" ability starting from her spine. She was so caught up since the moment that Joe cracked her backbone like a talented chiropractor does, and being around Joebotnik as well; made her not care much about anything except for him (even while Katsuki was laughing hysterically and finding it hilarious that Joe was even cracking her back. Katsuki found this part to be rather comical to watch where Joe was completely paranoid and nervous).

She wanted to do anything and everything with him, even if it meant her telling Joe to smack her around (surprising Joe and making him beg to god for forgiveness) and she didn't even bother thinking about how insanely weird it might look like to other people, including Joe.

Even though Joebotnik's chiropractor "back massage" skills made her become a villainous pervert towards Joebotnik, but it could also be something to do with her power and her loneliness. It is possible that her Quirk of Explosion gave her a lot of confidence and pride in herself, which, in turn, could have made her arrogant and prone to taking things way too far. It's also possible that her natural affection and desire to be with Joebotnik (while her husband Masaru was at a hotel in Australia for a inexplicably long amount of time), was what led her to behaving in such a seductive manner towards Joe, and her feelings for Joebotnik could have been amplified by her Quirk and made her feel even more strongly about him, aggressively speaking.

However, her behavior didn't have any malevolent intentions within her aggressive and criminalistic actions. She was trying to express her love for Joe in a way that was meant to be well-intentioned, but went about it in a overly affectionate and excessive way, even when she is way too old for Joebotnik's age of consent.

The very moment where she crossed the Moral Event Horizon, was when Joebotnik asked her about having dinner after Joe was done cracking her back. Mitsuki first agreed with the idea, but told Joe to add more pressure to the massaging, this is where Joe stopped doing this and genuinely asked her if inviting Joe for dinner was all about seduction, and Katsuki made a joke about "her seducing Joe" way too literally, and outright encouraging Joe that she was willing to do just that (even in front of her own son!). Joebotnik first backed out of the situation alone with discretion and politeness while he's only a invited guest, Joe was also suggesting more appropriate choices for dinner like ordering pizza or burgers (which Joe was willing to buy for all three of them in her house). Despite this very kind gesture, Mitsuki kept pressing on with the unwanted seduction and insisted for Joe to "stay" for dinner, and even after this genuinely disgusting and repulsive moment; Katsuki told Joe that he, his mom and Joe will go out to eat normal food, but didn't let Joe off the hook and insisted to his mom that Mitsuki herself would have a special dinner tonight for Joe tonight (making Joe's situation so much worse when he should be helping Joe get out of the situation).

When Mitsuki tells Joe how "gentle but hard" with what she "cooked" for dinner, Joe admits that he wouldn't stoop this low, showing that Joe could see through her lecherous intents (which Joe did to attempt setting boundaries in a respectful way from the get-go), this then made Joebotnik use a time card to escape the predicament in a playful way, but Mitsuki manages to outdo Joe's attempted magic trick by speeding up to him, smacking the giant card off of his hands and locking the door while she is standing in front of Joe while pushing him back to the living room, Mitsuki then felt powerful and in control when she encouraged Joe to try and she jumped so high that she fell on Joe, holding him in a headlock and holding him down, much to Joebotnik's bewilderment and apprehension.

She felt an amazing rush of adrenaline when she started flirting with Joe, and she felt like she was the one in charge, even though Joe already said no and wanted to back out with fake politeness. Mitsuki felt like she was in charge of him, and in charge of the whole situation. She liked the feeling of being able to take control of Joebotnik and make him do things that he wasn't willing to do on his own, even when Katsuki tried to reason with his own mother (wanting to get Joe out of the situation) and Joebotnik was having the urge of a mental breakdown.

When Joebotnik was going insane over this moment, Katsuki kept telling her that Joe wasn't ready for something like this, she was already making him lose his mind and Katsuki asked if she could be more modest about her appearance, she then directs her attention back to Joe, while asking Joe if this is something he doesn't want and asks him if he wants her to stop wrapping her arms around Joe, showing how Mitsuki is taking advantage of Joe's vulnerability without a second thought. Joebotnik, trying to breathe, asked if she didn't do this publicly and rather privately, Mitsuki claims she'll try to be modest, claims she wasn't sure about what she could to do. While Joe was losing his mind to say a rational thought, Mitsuki then states how he did great for handling her aggressive behavior for the first time and was willing to show him what he did "wrong" (which reveals that she was faking the modest remarks and was still wanting to seduce Joe some more instead of getting off of Joe).

This made Katsuki worry for Joe's shattered mentality and tried telling his mom that she doesn't have to inflict this onto Joe, and was willing to show Joe how proper flirting is done for Joe's sake. Mitsuki then disregards her son's comment, changes positions to lean onto Joe. When he tried to speak, she first covered his mouth, shushing him, telling Joe to relax from being tense while messing with his hair, told him she'll show him how good flirting is done, whispers in Joe's ear by telling Joe that he should try it twice; which means Mitsuki knew his mind was in a state of frenzy, was aware she was manipulating him, Joe hysterically said he felt like a piece of paper twice, told Joe to listen carefully by pulling Joe's head to her head as Mitsuki tells Joe to let her teach Joe what flirting is like only if Joebotnik was comfortable with it (Joe was still too vulnerable since his sanity was broken by this point and his mind was taken in control by Mitsuki already), when Joe said "SCREAMING HAAAAMMMEEERRSSS!!!!" and nodding aggressively, Mitsuki asks Joe if he understands that there will be nothing covering her and she claims to "know" that Joe "wants" to flirt with her, she then begins to ask Joe by whispering to him if he wants to continue right after she kissed Joe.

This made Katsuki (while frustrated by his mom) try to snap Joe out of his unconscious state by moving Mitsuki aside and slapping Joe's face to help him focus and regain consciousness again (all while telling Joe that this is his chance to get this situation over with), once Joebotnik asked what happened and then utterly surprised by Mitsuki proceeding to wrestle him, encouraging him to go all out.

When Joebotnik had to smack her to get her off of Joe, Mitsuki still enjoyed making Joebotnik smack her hard enough for her to be launched up to the ceiling and then fall to the floor with a thud, feeling no pain but full of laughter and deranged excitement.

She seems to be enjoying this moment very much and when Joe tries getting her body off of Joe, this was a moment that just shows how she expresses sadomasochism since she felt incredible pleasure the whole time (where everyone felt the complete opposite), even from being hit and hurt in pain at times, like when she claimed to handle "a beating" while she was wrestling Joe. Which made Joe want to slap her hard enough to send her flying off of Joe, something she encouraged Joe to do anyways.

Even when Joebotnik felt so inexplicably frantic and paranoid from her seductive behavior, all he wanted to do was to get everyone pizza for dinner at their house and eat peacefully (which he did in a instant), Mitsuki founded the whole thing to be absolutely funny to her, and she just wanted to see how far she could push the limits of Joe's comfort zone (even after Katsuki showed respect for getting Mitsuki of Joe and still showing respect for her while wanting to do something less than "lewd"). After seeing Joebotnik get so excitable and hysterical, she felt a thrill from the control she had over him. It made her feel powerful, and she just kept encouraging him to taste her again and again, just to see how far he would go for her at all (even when Joebotnik just wanted to eat pizza with the her and Katsuki at their dinner table). This made Joebotnik needing to use his hypnotic goggles to make her fall asleep, right before Joebotnik placed her in her own bedroom immediately.

5 hours later, once Masaru, Katsuki and Joebotnik were setting up Joe's strategy to get Katsuki's parents to fall in love with each other again; Mitsuki appeared to be dreaming about Joebotnik and thinking about Joe in her sleep, despite Joebotnik using hypnosis to make her fall asleep and taken to her bedroom. She was completely smitten by Joebotnik, she couldn't help herself, and she would dream about him constantly. She couldn't help but feel attached to him ever since Joe first met her, this is something she admits to her own husband and outright claims Joebotnik to be her "crush" since she grew feelings for Joe despite being married to Masaru.

Even when Joebotnik's magical "bow and arrow" solution worked in getting Masaru and Mitsuki to be loving of each other again, Mitsuki begins to have vague memories of her experience spending romantic time with Joebotnik, but her memories of Joe were very hazy and fuzzy, and she couldn't recall much of what had happened with him exactly (as Joe intended it to be). Instead, she just felt like it was some kind of dream that she couldn't remember much about now.

She loves being with Masaru now, she has strong feelings for him, and she is happy to be with him all and all. However, Mitsuki still has some lingering feelings for Joebotnik in the back of her mind, and she even wonders what it could have been if she had married Joebotnik instead of Masaru, and sometimes thinks what it would look like to be with Joebotnik. This is something Joe will leave as a mystery for her for good reason.

Despite seeming like a perverted Karma Houdini towards Joe, her hampered goal to be with Joebotnik did serve as a setback and a sign of karma for her, despite her getting away with her perverted actions without enough punishment. This was because, by not achieving the goal of being with Joebotnik, she felt like she had missed out on one of the things that she really wanted in life even while having Masaru as someone to love. It was also a reminder that she couldn't control absolutely everything, and that there were things that were outside of her control. The fact that she didn't get to be with him was a sort of karma, and a reminder that actions do have consequences.

Second encounter[]

Eleven days later, she appears to get the idea and believes that Joebotnik had tricked her into falling in love with Masaru to be with each other again to get her away from Joe (which is something Katsuki reveals to Joe when the two were talking in Joe's massage complex). Once she and Masaru text Katsuki to see where he is that day, Joebotnik and Katsuki are later seen walking back to the Bakugo Residence since the two had a secretive plan to get Mitsuki divorcing Masaru for her degeneracy and her obsession for Joe that seemed to be overwhelming despite Joe doing his best at reconciling her with Masaru with wholesome intentions.

As she keeps an superficially nice exterior on him as the two meet up with Mitsuki again at the Bakugo Residence, which made Katsuki uncomfortable at how too sincere Mitsuki seemed to be and was fairly relieved that Joebotnik could see through her nice act also. Where Joe, Katsuki and Mitsuki go to a dining table, she serves Joebotnik a plate of pork chops, mashed potatoes with sprinkles of red chilli and green beans.

This is where she crosses another Moral Event Horizon as she tries to flirt with Joe while her husband was in the same dining room and she appears to be guilty of trying to drug Joe with love drugs for Joe to eat, which Joe pieces it out once Joe asks her what else she placed in the food. This makes Joe do a magic trick with dropping stainless steel cloche domes onto both, her plate and Joe's plate, to switch the plates and Joe eats the undrugged plate of food while Mitsuki eats the drugged one by mistake, making her act lustful over Joe and Joebotnik encourages Masaru to speak up to Mitsuki.

Mitsuki obsesses about Joe when Masaru is doing his best to reason with her, and when she tries flirting with Joe (who objects to this). Making Mitsuki persistent in seducing despite expressing frustration in Joe actively rejecting her seductive advances, and gaslighting Masaru with wanting to be with Masaru but enjoys flirting with Joebotnik. This makes Joebotnik snap and call her out for her manipulative behavior and reprimanding her for her selfish behavior, which had Mitsuki attempt taking Joe to the bathroom but Masaru stops her to tell Mitsuki to leave the house, which she says no to, claims her "independence", claims her husband Masaru is nothing to her now and would leave because she wanted to. She then attempts seducing Joe again and Joe asks if she's a dumbass for not getting the message before Joe summons mallets to attempt whacking her on the head and chasing her so she could leave the house before Mitsuki pushed Joe into the bathroom, attempt seducing him with persistence and once Katsuki and Masaru find her concerning Joe in the bathroom, Joe then calls 911 once Mitsuki tried seducing Joe yet again as she wouldn't let him leave until she made Joe "feel good" and she tries gaslighting her husband and wanting him to help her with "calming down" Joe while Mitsuki is visibly seducing Joe without his consent.

Masaru and Katsuki do their best to get her and Joe dragged away from each other, Mitsuki keeps trying to act flirtatious while Joebotnik also tells the police to put her in a "Psych Ward" since she fits more in a insane asylum than in jail. This makes Mitsuki push Katsuki out of his reach and pulls Joe away from Masaru to make Joe get closer to her, she then tells Joe that he won't ruin her fun and will have what she wants in one way or another, she then proceeds to kiss Joe forcefully (even when Joe objects to this and demands her to stop, making her more persistent in taking control of Joe for the fourth time). Where Katsuki and Masaru trying to yank the two away was hard to do so Mitsuki wrapped herself around Joe while she was kissing him too aggressively.

Once the cops arrive and knock at the door, Joe gets the chance to move rapidly and head over to the door to run outside and hide behind the car, Katsuki and Masaru then tell the cops about Mitsuki's behavior while Mitsuki tries lying to them, which made the cops claim the report and what was heard on the phone. Which made Mitsuki plead Joe to be hers to have and claims she wanted to be loved but was too delusional to realize how far she was being with Joebotnik. As she gets in the car, the cops reveal to Mitsuki about her crimes with raping 30 teenage boys in the past 9 years and Mitsuki doesn't see herself as a criminal but someone who wanted love and wants to be freed, but her attempts backfire on her.

As Joebotnik (while incredibly and understandably traumatized), Katsuki and Masaru discuss about the report that was just made for everyone in the town of Musutafu to know, it's also revealed that Mitsuki forced Katsuki to break up with his newfound girlfriend that Joe got him hooked up with and had a good moment with, all to spite Joebotnik after she founded out Joe tricked her by the fifth day. Which made Katsuki mad enough to punch something, like the elemental planks that Joebotnik handed over to Katsuki to relieve his stress.

Personality[]

Mitsuki's tends to be really energetic, confident, ambitious, bold, and strong-willed, but she also seems to have a caring side within her delusions. She is very passionate about her convictions, and has an overwhelming belief in herself and in her abilities to succeed in whatever she sets her mind to. However, she also protects her son and often wants to help anyone out. She is always ready to take on a challenge, but also someone who is willing to be there for others. She is constantly striving to achieve her goals in any way that she can. She knows she is capable of accomplishing her goals, and she does not let anything stop her from working towards them (even if her tactics are impractical).

She is also charismatic since she can get people to like Joe, which she uses to manipulate people or even rape people without anyone knowing, meaning she is also vile, seductive trickster who does perverted things and seduces vulnerable helpless people like teenagers for example.

As a villainess, she likes to tease and toy with people into deception (especially Joebotnik), and she enjoys seeing other people get embarrassed (especially her son Katsuki). Plus, she has a strongly delusional side and a hidden sadomasochistic side to her personality (which makes her less mischievous and more perverted and insane instead), which can lead her to get too aggressive and brash many times. She also sometimes does things that go beyond the limit of what is considered acceptable, like when she forced Joebotnik into kissing her multiple times because of Katsuki making a joke about "flirting" when Joe was simply helping her crack her backbone like a chiropractor does. Meaning she was less concerned of the fact she committed rape over three times, and more saw it as her wanting Joe try something different in life.

She is also generally too hasty and impulsive when it comes to her decisions and actions, and she doesn't always consider the consequences of her actions. As a result, she can be best seen as self-centered and manipulative, but she also seems to have a heart deep down. Mitsuki also wants to control everyone around her, and she will do anything to get her way unless a greater force can put her in her place. However, she does care for her friends and family, but she is willing to hurt other people if it means accomplishing her hidden agenda of pleasure and maintaining control.

Once she got caught for her actions in her second encounter with trying to drug Joe's food with "lust spice" she served to him and Joebotnik inspecting the food she made and gave her some smart-mouth by making food puns over what she intended to add in the dish she called "Joe's Delight", she appears to seem defensive and worried for the fact she tried to trick Joe into eat the food she drugged. Her delusional traits are best shown underneath that "charisma" of hers, where she doesn't seem to know how far she's being despite knowing how to manipulate people, which made Joebotnik, Katsuki and Masaru less convinced and more infuriated at Mitsuki's carelessness.

• Mitsuki Bakugo is one of the many "Faux Affably Evil" villains Joe has ever faced in Joe's Cosmic Saga, albeit more comedic, having some hidden arrogant traits underneath her "charming" exterior, and not being anywhere as cataclysmic as Edgy Amy and The Collector, regardless of what her perverted and aggressive nature towards Joe implies of her as having creepy qualities to her and showing many delusions underneath her good publicity and appearing to have some good intentions.
