Biography[]
Original Timeline[]
- Main article: Smoke (1st Timeline)
Smoke, the best friend of Sub-Zero, was captured and converted into the cyborg LK-7T2 by the Cyber Lin Kuei. Many years later, he would fall under the spell of Noob Saibot, who used him as a template for his dark clan.
Alternate Timeline[]
- Main article: Smoke (2nd Timeline)
In an Alternate Timeline, Smoke gained his smoke magic from a demon known as an Enenra. Smoke is saved from his fate as a cyborg, but ended up being killed and revived as a revenant. In this form, Smoke takes on the name of Enenra. As well as this, the robot Triborg uses a form based on his cyborg self.
New Era[]
Mortal Kombat 1[]
While the New Era's version of Smoke is a heroic character, several villainous alternate selves appear. One such Dark Smoke is native to Titan Shang Tsung's New Era. During their invasion of Liu Kang's New Era, Smoke, along with Rain, faced the New Era's version of the Deadly Alliance while they were destroying portals to prevent the invasion, but were stopped from killing them by Raiden. In the subsequent battle, Shang Tsung and Quan Chi defeated them. As well as this, there was a version of LK-7T2 during the battle of Armageddon as a potential enemy, but he was defeated by the Final Warrior.

Powers and Abilities[]
As a human, Smoke has the ability to emit smoke, most commonly seen as the smoky fumes that his human forms emit. He still seems to retain this ability in his cyborg form, though he does not seem to use it much. Smoke usually uses this ability to disappear or create a cloud of fumes that his opponent chokes on, making them open to an attack. After becoming a nanotech based cyborg, his body appears to be made of smoke or nanites emulating the appearance of smoke. Smoke also gained the ability to transform others into shadow warriors by flowing his gaseous mist into them.

Quotes[]
“ | Toasty! | „ |
~ Smoke's catchphrase from the Battlewave comics. |
“ | Smoke's power lies in the nanobot technology. Microscopic machines course through his veins, constantly repairing and altering his being. But when infused with the power of Blaze, his nanobots took on a life of their own. Multiplying at an exponential rate, they were soon numerous enough to consume Edenia, transforming the entire realm into a mass of sentient grey material that calls itself Smoke. | „ |
