Kreeya, also known as Queen Kreeya, is a major antagonist in the 1998-99 TV series Mortal Kombat: Conquest, specifically serving as the overarching antagonist of the frst 15 episodes, the main antagonist of the episodes ''Kreeya'', ''In Kold Blood'' and one of the two main antagonists (alongside Shao Kahn) of ''Balance of Power''.
She was portrayed by Fabiana Udenio, who played Elena Di Nola in Jane the Virgin and Alotta Fagina in the Austin Powers trilogy.
Just like her daughter, Vorpax, Queen Kreeya is using deception and seduction to her advantage in order to gain allies, pretending to be a kind leader with good intentions, but her real goal is only to expand her race and overthrow Shao Kahn even sacrificing thousands of lifes in the process.
Biography[]
Kreeya was the Queen of the realm of Kreeya, as well as the mother and leader of the legendary race of Amazonians known as Kreeyans. She was also the mother of Vorpax, who was her firstborn. She was a powerful and ambitious monarch who even rivaled Shao Kahn for a while and managed to almost defeat him.
Kreeya desired to become the ruler of all realms, replacing Shao Kahn as the most powerful ruler. She sent her daughter Vorpax to the Cobalt Mines of Shokan in order to learn more about Outworld and find their weaknesses, where she managed to take Shang Tsung as a prisoner and then planned her next move by trying to conquer Earthrealm. As she couldn't directely conquer it without winning Mortal Kombat, she tried to do it by pretending to be a friend and ally against Shao Kahn. Through Vorpax, she met Kung Lao, Siro, and Taja, and tried to convicedthem about her good intentions. Even though Siro and Taja seemed to believe her, Kung Lao was suspicious and soon found out her real intentions and the danger she was posing for Earth Realm, thus forcing her to inprison him alongside his arch-enemy Shang Tsung. With Raiden's intervention, however, they were both able to escape and fought her together but Kreeya proved too strong for even for the combined forces of Kung Lao and Shang Tsung, using her special necklace to her advantage, as it has the ability to resist magic thus making Shang's powers useless. However, she was was eventually defeated and retreated.
Later, Kreeya made a deal with the leader of Zaterra, Reptile, to use him as a mate to create powerful hives and promising him power forcing him to betray Shao Kahn. Vorpax, who wanted to become the Queen of Kreeyans herself joined forces with Kung Lao, Siro, and Taja in order to take Kreeya out and set a trap for her. After a hard duel, the trio managed to defeat her and Vorpax finished the job by slaying her, taking all of her powers in the process.
Powers and Abilities[]
Kreeya is very strong as she was able to take on Shang Tsung and Kung Lao together and almost won against them. She later fought Kung Lao, Siro, and Taja combined, giving them a very hard time and even heavily injuring Kung Lao in the process. She also has unique abilities such as making hives and using magic. Individually, it's possible that she is the strongest character in the show next to Raiden and Shao Kahn.
