Mezhan Kwaad was the main antagonist of Edge of Victory I: Conquest.
Biography[]
She was introduced as the Master of secondary antagonist Nen Yim. She is perhaps most known for her attempts to transform Tahiri Veila into her own tame Force user and responsible for the creation of the Riina Kwaad personality.
Furthermore, she played a key role in the defection of Yuuzhan Vong commander Vua Rapuung, a former lover of his. After Rapuung decided to break it off with her, the spiteful Kwaad orchestrated events that led him to appear Shamed. This would lead to the series of events that caused Rapuung to sacrifice his life for Veila and Anakin Solo, the latter of whom he had formed an unlikely friendship. At the climax of the novel, Kwaad was killed by Veila. Her arrogance was perhaps most prominent here; her confidence in her plan blinded her to the fact that it was not Solo who was using the Force against her, but Veila. Later, in the penultimate novel The Final Prophecy, Nen Yim noted that her late Master was perhaps insane.
