Plot
[]

Troll Village is getting ready for the Fancy Pants Banquet, the 12th most formal anticipated event of the year. Smidge guesses that Poppy thinks something is wrong as she goes to say the dinner is perfect. Poppy states something is still missing. At that moment the Troll putting up the events banner slip and Guy Diamond is left hanging like a disco ball. Then Poppy realizes that is what is missing - a disco ball.

They go to DJ Suki who shows them "Star Maker". Poppy can't help but move her feet as DJ Suki shows her a Disco Ball that reflects light brightly and says she has to have it. DJ Suki is unsure of giving her Star Maker as it was forged by the purest glitter by her ancestors. Poppy manages to convince DJ to give her the disco ball, she shows her friends it by opening the box and they all dance upon seeing it.

They rush back to the banquet and Poppy states she promised to take care of it. Soon after saying that she trips but manages to save the box. The disco ball, however, rolls out of it. Through a series of events, the disco ball falls into the lagoon and Biggie states this is bad as things that fall into the lagoon are lost forever. Despite hearing this, Poppy wants to dive down and get the disco ball back.

Poppy goes to Tug Duluth's adventure booth as Tug has a submarine tour. Tug has never ventured to the bottom of the lagoon and states it is an uninviting wasteland of nothingness. Despite that, Tug is willing to take them there in her submarine. As they dive in the sub Tug begins her Tour Guide routine and tells them to spy upon the wonders of Troll Lagoon including Choral Coral and Glow Jellies. Tug tells the Trolls they love a good beat. Poppy is missing the sights but is looking out for the Disco Ball.

Poppy asks Tug to take them deeper and they descend into the bottom of the lagoon where they are surrounded by near-darkness. Poppy realizes that the Glow Jellies can be used to light up the lagoon and the Trolls bang the sub glass at them, singing the Jellies glow. Eventually they follow a glow Jelly path leading to a pile of lost objects. Poppy climbs the pile to get the Disco ball but a crab attached to it alerts hundreds of other crabs. They are soon surrounded so grab their lost belongings and leave.

Inside the sub Tug explains that was a nest of Finders-Keepers Critters, who are extremely possessive. Outside the sub the critters come together to make a larger crab shape to attack the sub. The sub manages to dodge a attack from the Critters but takes a direct hit from the second. The sub is damaged and leaks water. Poppy drives the sub upwards to escape but the critters grab onto the sub in their multi-crab form and it can't get away.

Poppy realizes that the only way to escape is to give back some of the items they took back from the critters. Biggie gives up his item, causing a group to leave and weaken their grip on the sub. They shoot out more items and critters leaving but there is still enough grabbing the sub to keep it in place. The sub is now taking on more water and there is no way to stop it.

Poppy finds out that there's only one item left they want, and gives up the disco ball. Poppy gives back the disco ball to save everyone and the critters let the Trolls go.

Up top DJ Suki approaches the group as they leave the sub and Poppy is forced to explain she lost Star Maker. DJ says that Poppy shouldn't have left it on the ground outside her pod. It is then revealed Star Maker is the box and not the Disco Ball, the box has the ability to turn common rocks into stunning Disco Balls. DJ realizes she should never have given her the box in the first place as Poppy just wanted the disco ball.

The episode ends with Poppy saying she should have just come clean in the first place, with the other Trolls replying with "You think?" in annoyance.
