Description[]

YogaAnvil

Executed by pressing back and Heavy Punch, Dhalsim extends both of his arms upward at a 45° angle, or a 30° angle in the case of Yoga Lance.

Tactics[]

This move is one of Dhalsim's most reliable anti-air attacks. It has good range and can be cancelled into Yoga Flame or Yoga Fire. This is a very useful attack that allows Dhalsim to deal a decent amount of damage whether the opponent is in the air or on the ground. It has Crush Counter properties, making it great for reads to inflect big damage to the opponent. However, this move is also his slowest anti-air option. This means Dhalsim should use this attack from the moment the opponent jumps. Otherwise, the attack can come out too late, putting Dhalsim in a bad position.

Dhalsim's anti-air options are primarily split between the fast Yoga Uppercut, the long-ranged Yoga Lance, the disjointed Yoga Blast, and the rewarding Yoga Mountain. Yoga Lance works best against back-jumping opponents or characters that can stall their jump arc.
