The donut is an object that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog film series produced by Paramount Pictures and its spin-offs. It is a type of food product consumed on Earth.

Tom Wachowski was spotted several times by Sonic, eating a donut as he often did, hence, earning him the nickname, "Donut Lord".
Sonic the Hedgehog[]
Tom decorated a donut with some sprinkles and put sunglasses on it, calling it "Sgt. Sprinkles". He practiced his departure speech from Green Hills Sheriff's Department to the donut.

Sonic the Hedgehog: The Adventures of Sonic & Donut Lord[]
Sonic repeatedly calls Tom "Donut Lord", later telling him that the reason for this was because he helped a lot of people and ate a lot of donuts.[1]
Sonic the Hedgehog 2: The Official Movie Pre-Quill[]
While out in town, Sonic took a donut and recreated "Sgt. Sprinkles" and proceeded to have a "conversation" with it about his longing to be a real hero.[2]
After thwarting a bank robbery, the officer in charge planned to reward Tom and Wade some donuts, only to find them gone, unaware that Sonic had taken them and was eating them on his way home.[2]
