Champ[2] is a character that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog film series produced by Paramount Pictures and its spin-offs. He is the former dancing champion among the patrons of a Russian tavern.
Appearance[]
Champ is a human with no hair, a blond beard, and green eyes. He wears a red coat with a bear symbol, that is wearing a crown, on his back with the word "champion" written in Russian. He also wears red pants. He has two tattoos: One of himself on his torso, and another one on his left shoulder.
History[]
Sonic the Hedgehog 2[]
Champ accepted a dance-off challenge from Sonic and Tails after the fox mistakenly yelled out the word "pivonka". He seemed to have an advantage over the two, but they soon gained the upper hand over him, and after an intense exchange Champ became dizzied and fell to the floor defeated, no longer the tavern's champion.
Personality[]
Champ is mean-spirited and xenophobic, referring to people who are different from him as “freaks”. Champ is also quite a show-off, showboating during his dance-off with Sonic and Tails. He is also shown to be quite self-absorbed, having a tattoo of himself on his torso and left arm.
