Major Bennington is a character that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog film series produced by Paramount Pictures and its spin-offs. He is a human and a Major in the United States Army.
Appearance[]
Bennington is an average sized man with gray hair and blue eyes. Bennington can usually be seen wearing his camouflage uniform with his service pistol holstered on his right side.

After a power outage occurred across the Pacific Northwest due to an electromagnetic pulse, Bennington and a small group of United States Army soldiers serving under him were sent by the government to the pulse's origin point in Green Hills, Montana, to find the cause of this phenomenon. There, they would set up camp at the local baseball diamond. As they conducted their investigation however, Bennington was exasperated when he saw Dr. Ivo Robotnik's mobile lab and agents approach. When Bennington and Robotnik then met, the latter proceeded to brow beat Bennington over the doctor's own higher security clearance, as well as providing insults to Bennington about his inferiority and making threats for protesting. Left with no choice but to acquiesce to Robotnik's orders, Bennington quietly left to leave things to the doctor.
Personality[]
Serious and professional, Bennington is a man with a decisive demeanor who takes his job seriously. Notably, when dealing with the eccentric Dr. Ivo Robotnik while on duty, he tries to make his points clear in spite of being interrupted several times. While also having a level of dignity, he is not obstinate and will ultimately relent in the face of a higher security clearance than his.
