The Temple of Wojira is an ancient temple located at the bottom of the Tartarus Trench where Wojira was placed after the Battle of Nine Days.
However, after Kalmaar tricked Benthomaar into finding the temple for him, he and the Maaray Guards secretly working for him used it as a headquarters to reawaken Wojira.
History[]
Prior to the series[]
Following Nyad's sacrifice during the Battle of Nine Days, Wojira was thrown into a deep sleep. The Merlopians placed her in the Temple of Wojira, which would later become a restricted area.[1]
The Tale of Benthomaar (flashback)[]
Many years later, While looking for information about Wojira, Kalmaar eventually discovered that Wojira was in her temple and told his father about it. Trimaar forbid Kalmaar into going there due to the Tartarus Trench being dangerous. After being forbidden to go there, Kalmaar tricked Benthomaar to swim through the trench by saying that he was sorry for not considering him as family.
Once they went to the Tartarus Trench, Benthomaar and Kalmaar swam passed the vents and eels and made it to the Temple of Wojira.
Five Thousand Fathoms Down[]
At the temple, Kalmaar and the Maaray Guards tried to use replicas of the Storm Amulet to reawaken Wojira, but failed when the faux amulets broke. However, when they discovered Nya and Maya at the temple, they captured them.
The Wrath of Kalmaar[]
Nya and Maya were held captive to a pole somewhere in the temple. However, through teamwork they were able to reclaim and escape with their APS suits.
Long Live the King[]
At the temple, Kalmaar learned that Nya and Maya escape while he was at Merlopia and was later told by Glutinous that the Hydro Bounty was repaired.
The Calm Before the Storm (flashback)[]
After Kalmaar got the Storm Amulet, he heads to the temple to awaken Wojira. When Wojira was reawakened, Kalmaar takes her to Ninjago City and destroyed the entrance to the temple once they left.
