The Storm Farms (also known as the Wind Farms Power Station[1]) are a large complex in Ninjago. Located near the Floating Ruins, they gather energy from the lightning storms, which they use to supply power to Ninjago City, and other locations.
History[]
The Art of the Silent Fist[]
In an attempt to disable the Digital Overlord and his army of Nindroids, the ninja travelled to the power station. However, the Digital Overlord is well aware of this weakness—by the time the ninja arrive, the power station was heavily guarded by Nindroids, including General Cryptor. The ninja manage to sneak into the power room and barricade the doors, but the Nindroids break in and start throwing shurikens at them. Thinking quickly, the ninja maneuver themselves into a position where the Nindroids' shurikens are aimed at the power generator behind them. When Min-Droid attempted to attack the ninja, he accidentally crashes through the power generator, and it releases an electromagnetic pulse that disables all the power in Ninjago, including P.I.X.A.L.
Shadow of Ronin (non-canon)[]
The power station was left inoperable even after the Overlord was defeated; the city presumably finding an alternative source of power. However, when Ronin reactivated the Nindroids, he stored power at the Wind Farms which was generated by a large device in the Floating Ruins.
Official description[]
Because New NINJAGO City was based on interconnected technologies, thus requiring a vast amount of electricity, Cyrus Borg created this facility to “harvest” the electricity in the air during lightning storms. After the energy is collected by giant electrodes, it is harnessed and distributed to power the city and the Nindroids. Today, the site is still functioning, though it is not the primary power source to the city.[2]
