Giga Crush (ギガクラッシュ Giga Kurasshu),[1] also known as Giga Crash,[2] is a full-screen special attack in the Mega Man franchise. It was first used by X in the Mega Man X series, and is also used by Model A in Mega Man ZX Advent.
Appearances[]
Mega Man X2 and Mega Man Xtreme 2[]
The Giga Crush first appeared in Mega Man X2 as a special ability of the Body Parts, on top of their defense boost. The Body Parts convert any damage X takes from enemies into Weapon Energy, and when its gauge is full, the accumulated energy can be released all at once as a powerful attack that damages all enemies visible on the screen.[3] The Giga Crush is also a function of the Body Parts in Mega Man Xtreme 2, functioning identically.
Mega Man X7[]
The Glide Armor's Body Parts inherited the Giga Crash, functioning similarly to the previous version. Rather than releasing energy from within X, it appears to call down a storm of lightning around him. It is unique in that it can damage bosses even while they're off-screen or in an invincible state.
Mega Man X8[]
The Giga Crash is the special ability of the complete Icarus Armor set, working identically to Mega Man X2. This time X summons a storm of energy missiles from within, warping the background into a green matrix. The Giga Crash's Weapon Energy can recharge as long as X is the active Hunter (switching him out halts the charge process). The ability can be used even if the Weapon Energy gauge isn't entirely full, only with less power and range.
Mega Man ZX Advent[]
One of Mega Man Model A's abilities is the Giga Crush, available only when BM gauge is full. When using it, Grey/Ashe first projects a rotating cube around themselves that represents the attack's range, typically filling the entire screen. On release, Grey/Ashe spins their busters while firing them rapidly, hitting all enemies on screen.
Other appearances[]
- The Giga Crush is an Active Skill for Second Armor X in Mega Man X DiVE.
- In Rockman Xover, OVER-1 can use a "Giga Crash" that destroys all on-screen enemies. He continues moving forward steadily while executing the attack, and then must wait until the cooldown expires before using it again.

Trivia[]
- Although Axl doesn't receive a Giga Crash, some of the attacks he can use while transforming into some Mega Man X: Command Mission bosses (ex: Silver Horn, Mach Jentra, Rafflesian, Incentas) can hit all enemies at once in a similar fashion.
