- "The Yellowjacket is an all-purpose weapon of war capable of altering the size of the wearer for the ultimate combat advantage!"
- âDarren Cross[src]
The Yellowjacket Suit was a powered suit created by Darren Cross as a weaponized version of the Ant-Man Suit, made of military-grade Kevlar fabric and titanium limbs, in order to maximize the military applications of his version of Hank Pym's Pym Particles.
History[]
Creation[]
- "Where S.H.I.E.L.D. failed, Darren Cross succeeded. He created the Yellowjacket, an instrument of carnage that Cross is selling to the highest bidder with the fewest morals."
- âHank Pym[src]

The Yellowjacket Suit was created by Cross Technologies, with Darren Cross who used the Ant-Man Suit technology as a base. The partly mechanized suit was designed to be weaponized and more advanced version of Hank Pym's suit. The mechanisms in some of the metallic parts of the suit may possibly be used for resilience or strength enhancement. It was designed with mechanical appendages on its back with the pair above the other being able to fire beams of energy and to fly as well. Cross intended to make a sale and demonstrate the capabilities of one of these suits to potential buyers, before the demonstration was sabotaged by Ant-Man.[1]
Fighting Ant-Man[]

Cross would later put on the suit in order to deal with Ant-Man. After their fight, the suit was sabotaged by Ant-Man, who shrunk between the molecules of the solid titanium armor to reach and destroy the suit's circuitry and inner mechanisms. The suit's now unstable shrinking function caused Cross to be crushed in the suit, destroying his suit.[1] Cross ended up in the Quantum Realm as the suit shrunk, but his head remained large. Kang the Conqueror's forces found Cross inside the damaged suit. Cross was retrieved from within the suit and was reconstructed as M.O.D.O.K..[2]
Alternate Universe Versions[]
Giant Yellowjacket Universe[]
In an alternate universe, the Yellowjacket Suit allowed Yellowjacket to enlarge himself. Yellowjacket was pruned by the Time Variance Authority and sent to the Void, where his helmet remained giant and on the ground.[3]
Used by Hank Pym[]

Hank Pym begins murdering the Avengers
After the death of his daughter, Hank Pym created a Yellowjacket suit which he used to kill the candidates of the Avengers Initiative to get revenge on Nick Fury who recruited Hope leading to her death, he killed Tony Stark by hiding in the needle of the Lithium Dioxyde injector and entered his body where he damaged Tony's organs and killed him, he indirectly killed Thor by making Hawkeye lose his grip on the arrow he was pointing at Thor and the arrow hit Thor in the heart, he then killed Hawkeye by entering in his ear canal and causing lethal brain damage, he killed Bruce Banner by shooting a bullet into the scientist which he hid into and entered his body, and enlarged Banner's heart when he transformed into the Hulk which made him explode, and finally, he killed Natasha Romanoff by beating her to death.
Eventually when Pym finally confronted Fury who had figured out who he was, he would be beaten as Loki had teamed up with Fury to serve Pym to justice for his crimes, with the Yellowjacket suit likely being confiscated.[4]

Capabilities[]
- "The Yellowjacket can manage any conflict on the geo-political landscape, completely unseen. Efficient in both preventative measures and tactical assault. Practical applications include surveillance, industrial sabotage, and the elimination of obstructions on the road to peace. A single Yellowjacket offers the user unlimited influence to carry out protective actions."

- Size Alteration: Using the original Ant-Man Suit and Pym Particles formula as a start up point, Darren Cross developed a new suit which allows him to reduce approximately to the size of an ant whilst gaining enhanced physical capabilities.
- Superhuman Strength: The suit grants the wearer superhuman strength whilst shrunk. This is thought to be due to the Pym Particles enhancing density and compressing energy and physical force to the user, giving them the power of a bullet. In the case of the Yellowjacket, its mechanisms may be able to enhance physical strength and resilience of its user even in normal size as he was almost able to crush Ant-Man between his hands while Lang was in shrunken form. Though, Ant-Man in normal size was able to take on Cross while the latter was in the Yellowjacket. In addition, due to its titanium composition, the suit's mechanized stingers can be used as melee weapons, while Cross used to knock Jim Paxton's gun out of his hand and to help him grab Lang into order to hurl him through the air.
- Flight: The suit has the power of flight. The backpack housing the two top 'antennae' on the suit's back has exterior booster rockets at the bottom of the tentacles that give the user levitation capability and forward propulsion.

Trivia[]
- The Yellowjacket Suit was partially inspired by Eric O'Grady's Ant-Man Suit in the comics. Eric O'Grady was the third person to inherit the Ant-Man mantle after Hank Pym and Scott Lang.[5]
- The Yellowjacket Suit is named after a Yellowjacket wasp, the common name in North America for predatory wasps of the genera Vespula and Dolichovespula that are known simply as "wasps" in other English-speaking countries.
- The sound of the energy pulse stinger is the same sound as that of an AT-AT.
- According to The Wakanda Files: A Technological Exploration of the Avengers and Beyond, Cross intended to sell the suit to S.H.I.E.L.D., HYDRA and the Ten Rings.
