During World War II, Wernher von Braun was one of the top scientists of Nazi Germany. He and his team developed the V-2 rockets which the Nazis used to bomb London.[2] After the war, von Braun and many of his colleagues, including Arnim Zola, were recruited to work for the United States of America in Operation Paperclip, and von Braun became one of the leaders of NASA upon its founding as a result.[3]
