"Are you ready for a deadly game... from the early days of Kitson? Three contestants put their lives in the balance. Now, who among them is strong enough to keep their blades from falling? Blades made from Veroovian steel -- the densest metal in the galaxy. The player that cannot hold the weight, will decapitate."
―Mister Kitson[src]

Veroovian Steel is a highly dense metal, thought to be the densest in the galaxy in which Kitson is located.

History[]

"You know what? I have something very special in mind for you Terrans. Hope you're not too attached to your heads."
―Mister Kitson to Leo Fitz and Jemma Simmons[src]

Veroovian steel gained fame on the planet of Kitson because of a game in which contestants were tied on a guillotine table and forced to hold off blades made of this material, with the contestants progressively dropping the blade on their own head because of the weight, causing them to be beheaded. Once one contestant died, the lives of the others were spared.

Leo Fitz, Jemma Simmons and Wayne under threat from Veroovian steel guillotines

Leo Fitz and Jemma Simmons went through this experience after being caught with Enoch in Mister Kitson's House of Games, as Enoch was believed to be a synthetic used for cheating in games of chance. Fitz and Simmons were punished by being forced to play the game alongside another patron of the House of Games, Wayne. When Izel offered to buy Fitz and Simmons, Mister Kitson rigged the game and had Wayne decapitated by releasing an electrical current in the guillotine's blade, forcing him to drop it on his own head.[1]
