"Landman and Zack! Landman and mother-freakin' Zack, man!"
"Oh, sounds impressive. Are they looking to hire?"
"Oh, you wouldn't be happy. We used to intern there."
"Oh, right. And they offered us a job, a great job. Which we turned down to go off and save the world. Now they hate us."
―Foggy Nelson, Karen Page and Matt Murdock[src]

Landman and Zack LLP is a law firm in New York City.

History[]

Roxxon Corporation Case[]

"As you can see in the countersuit, not only does my client Roxxon Energy Corporation categorically deny any culpability in your diagnosis, but also cites clear and actionable breach of contract regarding your decision to share details of your highly sensitive work in the Londonderry plant. And while my client is... sympathetic towards your condition, Roxxon must vigorously defend its patents in relation to the extraction and refinement process that you, by admission, had intimate knowledge of."
―Parish Landman[src]

Landman and Zack represented Roxxon Corporation when one of their employees who filed a lawsuit against the company, claiming that his work for Roxxon directly resulted in him developing a serious illness. Parish Landman met with the employee and his lawyer, claiming that Roxxon denied any culpability and was also pressing charges against him, as he disclosed sensitive information regarding his work for Roxxon, which was a breach of contract. The employee insisted that he only disclosed some details to his doctor, so he could be properly diagnosed, but neither Landman and Zack, nor Roxxon paid any attention to it.

Disgusted by Landman and Zack's practices, Matt Murdock and Foggy Nelson quit their internship and decided to open their own law firm to help people in need.[1]

Tenament Case[]

"Look, you know how this goes. It's her word versus my client's, and there's a whole backlog of these cases pending throughout the city. No one is going to help her but us. If I were you, I'd go to Mrs. Whatever today and strongly urge her to accept our offer."
―Marci Stahl to Foggy Nelson[src]

Landman and Zack were employed by Wilson Fisk who sought their legal services for his business and his associates, like Leland Owlsley and Silver & Brent.[2] When Armand Tully wanted to evict all of his tenants and tear down their homes for Fisk's construction project, Elena Cardenas sought Nelson and Murdock's help to fight back. Foggy Nelson and Karen Page made an appointment with Landman and Zack that represented Tully, they met with Marci Stahl who said that either tenants accept the money from Tully or live in wrecked apartments until their inevitable eviction. Nelson argued that Tully's workmen broke the law and wrecked the apartments themselves, but Stahl claimed that they were sent to make requested repairs but could not finish because of criminals living there.

Marci Stahl tells Foggy Nelson about Armand Tully's case

Stahl insisted that Nelson should urge Cardenas and other tenants to accept the buyout and leave, but Nelson responded by claiming that Landman and Zack's case is not as airtight as they make it out to be. He noted that if it is proven that Tully was trying to illegally evict those people, he might lose his properties and Landman and Zack would lose a client, which was why they were pressuring to settle the case. Nelson went on to claim that his firm will be seeing Landman and Zack in court, presenting their case to support the tenants and prevent them from being evicted.[3] However, Cardenas ended up being murdered before the trial, so the case ultimately ended in Tully's favor.[4]

Later on, Nelson met with Stahl and informed her that Landman and Zack were involved in illicit activity by working for Fisk and handling his legal matters. He showed her the investigation files Nelson and Murdock had on Fisk, and convinced Stahl to help them bring Fisk down before it was too late.[2] Stahl agreed to help and secretly stole some important documents from Landman and Zack, detailing their work with Fisk and Owlsley, which ended up being instrumental in building a case against Fisk. When Parish Landman was among Fisk's associates, named by Carl Hoffman in his testimony, he ended up being arrested by the FBI,[5] while Stahl resigned and joined Hogarth, Chao & Benowitz.[6]
