Confrontation of Zip's Crew[]
Luke Cage confronted Zip in Jackie Robinson Park while the latter was gambling with his friends. After Cage inquired about the Crispus Attucks Complex, all but Zip dispersed, who drew his pistol and fired two rounds at Cage, which was futile. Cage responded by disarming him, crumbling his pistol and discarding it. He proceeded to take Zip by the throat and asked him to return Aisha Axton's ring. When the latter refused, Cage lectured him on the history of the park they were in and the legacy of African-Americans, holding him high off the ground. Cage put him down after taking the ring.[1]
