Ivan (Russian: Иван) was a member of the Russian Mafia who was nearly killed by explosions in Hell's Kitchen and finished by Detective Christian Blake.

Biography[]

War with Wilson Fisk[]

When Vladimir Ranskahov called for a war with Wilson Fisk in response to the brutal murder of Anatoly Ranskahov, Ivan gathered with the rest of Russian Mafia in a warehouse where they gathered their weapons ready for battle. Before they could leave, however, one of Madame Gao's blind workers arrived in the warehouse and detonated a bomb, killing almost everyone inside.

Ivan barely survived the blast, but became badly burnt and crushed under rubble with a steel rod imbedded in his leg and side. Help seemed to arrive when New York City Police Department officers walked into the building, led by Christian Blake and Carl Hoffman. Blake walked over to Ivan but instead of helping, he began torturing Ivan, demanding to know where Vladimir Ranskahov's body was. Screaming in pain, Ivan begged for mercy and told Blake he did not know. In response, Blake shot him in the head.^[5]
